The Asia Pacific Journal of Management publishes original manuscripts on management and organizational research in the Asia Pacific region, encompassing Pacific Rim countries and mainland Asia. APJM focuses on the extent to which each manuscript addresses matters that pertain to the most fundamental question: “What determines organization success'” The major academic disciplines that we cover include entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, organizational behavior, and strategic management. However, manuscripts that belong to other well-established disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and operations generally do not fall into the scope of APJM. We endeavor to be the major vehicle for exchange of ideas and research among management scholars within or interested in the broadly defined Asia Pacific region.Key features include: Rigor - maintained through strict review processes, high quality global reviewers, and Editorial Advisory and Review Boards comprising prominent researchers from many countries. Relevance - maintained by its focus on key management and organizational trends in the region. Uniqueness - being the first and most prominent management journal published in and about the fastest growing region in the world. Operations Management Research

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1936-9735 / 1936-9743•United States
6.2
Clarivate IF

Since operations management is an applied discipline, it is the aim of Operations Management Research: Advancing Practice through Theory to promote research that advances both the theory and practice of operations management. In addition, there is a growing need for a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original, high-quality research that is shorter and more sharply focused than articles in existing OM journals. OMR also occasionally publishes Academic Notes which are special papers that address issues concerning research methodologies, the direction of the OM field, and other such topics of particular interest to academicians. Each regular paper published in OMR must make a clear contribution to the science and practice of operations management and include discussion of the potential of the research for advancing OM theory as well as its application. In contrast, the domain of the journal will NOT include the following: teaching topics or cases,engineering/technical issues, software applications, literature reviews, applications of operations theory to practice but without generalizable insights, practice-based lessons for operations but with no theoretical insights, extensions of operations theory with no practical application, orquantitative models without application to advance both operations management theory and practice. All topics in operations management as well as all research paradigms (from mathematical modeling to ethnography) are welcome. Submissions may initially use any style or format but are limited to about 25 manuscript pages in length including figures and tables, though supplementary electronic appendices, which only appear in the on-line version of the journal, can be added as needed. The target turnaround time for submissions is 8 weeks.

Journal of Management & Governance

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1385-3457 / 1572-963X•Netherlands
4.5
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Management and Governance (JMG) is an international journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of corporate governance issues within and throughout privately-held firms, publicly-held corporations and government-controlled organizations. The journal is devoted to exploring the links between management and governance through both theoretical analyses and empirical investigations to improve the understanding of all the rules, codes, principles, practices, processes, mechanisms, structure and relationships, as well as institutions, networks and individuals affecting the way firms and organizations are managed, administered and controlled. Since corporate governance is a multi-faceted subject, the journal aims to analyze a broad spectrum of topics and issues related to the management and governance of firms and organizations: strategies and decision-making; accounting, reporting and information control; measurement issues in governance; relational, cognitive and behavioural based; institutional economics. JMG intends to act as an arena of scientific debate within and among academic and professional networks of researchers with a strong interest in investigating how knowledge, preferences and performance are formed and how they influence governance and management practices and policies. Contributions from all areas of business administration (accounting and control, general and strategic management, organizational theory and behaviour, finance and banking) and manuscripts concerning both the private and the public sectors are welcome to the extent that they contribute to these general issues and to the understanding of governance thus broadly defined. JMG is international in authorship and editorship. It follows the internationally shared norms of blind review and research quality standards, but it distinctively and deliberately adheres to a constructive rather than destructive review process approach. The j ournal has various paper formats and methods. Any research strategy is recognised, as long as it effectively addresses the issue at hand and rigorously adheres to the methodology adopted, in survey research or simulation, a case study or a statistical analysis. Systemic Practice and Action Research

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1094-429X / 1573-9295•United States
1.8
Clarivate IF

Systemic Practice and Action Research is dedicated to advancing deeper understandings of issues that confront the contemporary world, and better means for engaging with these issues for the benefit of individuals, organizations, communities and their natural environments. To this end, a fundamental rethink of the purposes and methods of science is needed, making it more systemic and action-orientated. The journal therefore seeks to make a substantial contribution to rethinking science as well as to the reflective application of systemic practice and action research in all types of organizational and social settings. This international journal is committed to nurturing wide-ranging conversations around both qualitative and technical approaches for the betterment of people's lives and ways of working together. It seeks to influence policy and strategy in its advocacy of action research as a primary means to gain vision and leverage in wicked problem areas. All forms of investigation and reasoning are considered potentially suitable for publication, including personal experience. There are no priorities attached to settings for studies and no greater significance given to one methodological style over another - as long as the work demonstrates a reflective and systemic quality. The journal welcomes manuscripts that are original, are well written, and contain a vivid argument. Papers normally will demonstrate knowledge of existing literature. Full papers are normally between 5,000 – 10,000 words (although longer papers will not be excluded if the argument justifies the word count) and short papers are about 2,000 words. Notes and letters are welcomed for publication in the 'notes from the field' and 'letters' sections. A rigorous mentoring-based refereeing system is applied in all cases.
