Astronomy is arguably the oldest science, and has featured strongly throughout the history of Nature — the first quasar, the first exoplanet, the nature of spiral nebulae, to name but a few of the advances reported in its pages. The launch of Nature Astronomy now enables much expanded coverage of the modern discipline: the journal welcomes research across astronomy, astrophysics and planetary science, with the aim of fostering closer interaction between the researchers in each of these areas. Like all Nature-branded journals, Nature Astronomy is characterized by a dedicated team of professional editors, a fair and rigorous peer-review process, high standards of copy-editing and production, swift publication and editorial independence. In addition to publishing original research, Nature Astronomy publishes Comments, Reviews, News and Views, Features and Correspondence from across the full range of disciplines concerned with astronomy. Topics covered in the journal include: -Observational astronomy -Theoretical astrophysics -Computational techniques in astrophysics -Instrumentation and techniques -Planetary science -Exoplanets -Solar & stellar physics -Interplanetary & interstellar medium -Galactic & extragalactic astronomy -High energy astrophysics -Cosmology -Astrochemistry -Astronomical big data

Communications Physics is an open access journal from Nature Research publishing high-quality research, reviews and commentary in all areas of the physical sciences. Research papers published by the journal represent significant advances bringing new insight to a specialized area of research in physics. We also aim to provide a community forum for issues of importance to all physicists, regardless of sub-discipline. The scope of the journal covers all areas of experimental, applied, fundamental, and interdisciplinary physical sciences. Primary research published in Communications Physics includes novel experimental results, new techniques or computational methods that may influence the work of others in the sub-discipline. We also consider submissions from adjacent research fields where the central advance of the study is of interest to physicists, for example material sciences, physical chemistry and technologies.

Hyperfine Interactions is an international journal devoted to research in the border regions of Solid-State Physics, Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics and relevant Chemistry. The interactions of atoms, ions, electrons and nuclei with their environments in solids, liquids, gases, plasmas and directed beams comprise a broad area of physical science in themselves and also prove unique tools for studies of the behaviour of many physical, chemical and biological systems.
