ENGLISH STUDIES

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 0013-838X / 1744-4217•United Kingdom
0.4
Clarivate IF

The periodical English Studies was founded more than 75 years ago by the Dutch grammarian R.W. Zandvoort. From the very first, linguistics was only one of its areas of interest. English Studies was and is a unique publication in the field of "English" because of its range: it covers the language and literature of the English-speaking world from the Old English period to the present day. In spite of this range, the foremost position of English Studies in many of these areas is undisputed: it attracts contributions from leading experts who recognise this periodical as the most obvious vehicle for addressing both their fellow-experts and those whose professional interest in "English" is more general.

Journal of Postcolonial Writing

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 1744-9855 / 1744-9863•United Kingdom
0.3
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Postcolonial Writing is an academic journal devoted to the study of literary and cultural texts produced in various postcolonial locations around the world. It explores the interface between postcolonial writing, postcolonial and related critical theories, and the economic, political and cultural forces that shape contemporary global developments. In addition to criticism focused on literary fiction, drama and poetry, we publish theoretically-informed articles on a variety of genres and media, including film, performance and other cultural practices, which address issues of relevance to postcolonial studies. In particular we seek to promote diasporic voices, as well as creative and critical texts from various national or global margins.

TEXTUAL PRACTICE

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 0950-236X / 1470-1308•United Kingdom
0.3
Clarivate IF

Since its launch in 1987, Textual Practice has been Britain"s principal international journal of radical literary studies, continually pressing theory into new engagements. Today, as customary relations among disciplines and media are questioned and transformed, Textual Practice works at the turning points of theory with politics, history and texts. It is intrigued by the processes through which hitherto marginal cultures of ethnicity and sexuality are becoming conceptually central, and by the consequences of these diverse disturbances for educational and cultural institutions.
