Hematological Oncology considers for publication articles dealing with experimental and clinical aspects of neoplastic diseases of the hemopoietic and lymphoid systems and relevant related matters. Translational studies applying basic science to clinical issues are particularly welcomed. Manuscripts dealing with the following areas are encouraged: -Clinical practice and management of hematological neoplasia, including: acute and chronic leukemias, malignant lymphomas, myeloproliferative disorders -Diagnostic investigations, including imaging and laboratory assays -Epidemiology, pathology and pathobiology of hematological neoplasia of hematological diseases -Therapeutic issues including Phase 1, 2 or 3 trials as well as allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplantation studies -Aspects of the cell biology, molecular biology, molecular genetics and cytogenetics of normal or diseased hematopoeisis and lymphopoiesis, including stem cells and cytokines and other regulatory systems. Concise, topical review material is welcomed, especially if it makes new concepts and ideas accessible to a wider community. Proposals for review material may be discussed with the Editor-in-Chief. Collections of case material and case reports will be considered only if they have broader scientific or clinical relevance.

his journal intends to provide clear, insightful, balanced contributions by international experts that review the most important, recently published clinical findings related to the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of hematologic malignancy. We accomplish this aim by appointing international authorities to serve as Section Editors in key subject areas, such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and T-cell and other lymphoproliferative malignancies. Section Editors, in turn, select topics for which leading experts contribute comprehensive review articles that emphasize new developments and recently published papers of major importance, highlighted by annotated reference lists. An international Editorial Board reviews the annual table of contents, suggests articles of special interest to their country/region, and ensures that topics are current and include emerging research. Commentaries from well-known figures in the field are also provided.

Expert Review of Hematology

Taylor and Francis Ltd.•ISSN: 1747-4086 / 1747-4094•England
2.8
Clarivate IF

Advanced molecular research techniques have transformed hematology in recent years. With improved understanding of hematologic diseases, we now have the opportunity to research and evaluate new biological therapies, new drugs and drug combinations, new treatment schedules and novel approaches including stem cell transplantation. We can also expect proteomics, molecular genetics and biomarker research to facilitate new diagnostic approaches and the identification of appropriate therapies. Further advances in our knowledge regarding the formation and function of blood cells and blood-forming tissues should ensue, and it will be a major challenge for hematologists to adopt these new paradigms and develop integrated strategies to define the best possible patient care. Expert Review of Hematology (1747-4086) puts these advances in context and explores how they will translate directly into clinical practice.

Mediterranean Journal of Hematology and Infectious Diseases

Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore•ISSN: 2035-3006•Italy

Reciprocal interdependence between infectious and hematologic diseases (malignant and non-malignant) is well known. This relationship is particularly evident in Mediterranean countries. Parasitosis as Malaria, Leishmaniosis, B Hookworms, Teniasis, very common in the southeast Mediterranean area, infect about a billion people and manifest prevalently with anemia so that they are usually diagnosed mostly by experienced hematologist on blood or bone marrow smear. On the other hand, infections are also a significant problem in patients affected by hematological malignancies. The blood is the primary vector of HIV infection, which otherwise manifest with symptoms related to a reduction in T lymphocytes. In turn, infections can favor the insurgency of hematological malignancies. The causative relationship between Epstein-Barr virus infection, Helicobacter pylori, hepatitis C virus, HIV and lymphoproliferative diseases is well known.
