Clarivate IF

Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments is a peer-reviewed international journal for the publication of high-quality multidisciplinary studies in the fields of palaeobiodiversity, palaeoenvironments and palaeobiogeography. Key criteria for the acceptance of manuscripts are a global scope or implications of problems on a global scale significant not only for a single discipline, a focus on the diversity of fossil organisms and the causes and processes of change in Earth’s history. The topics covered include: Systematic studies of all fossil animal / plant groups with a special focus on palaeoenvironmental investigations, palaeoecosystems and climate changes in Earth’s history, environment-organism interaction, comparison of modern and ancient sedimentary environments, palaeoecology and palaeobiogeography.

International Journal of Paleopathology

Elsevier BV•ISSN: 1879-9817•England
1.7
Clarivate IF

Paleopathology is the study and application of methods and techniques for investigating diseases and related conditions from skeletal and soft tissue remains. The International Journal of Paleopathology (IJPP) will publish original and significant articles on human and animal (including hominids) disease, based upon the study of physical remains, including osseous, dental, and preserved soft tissues at a range of methodological levels, from direct observation to molecular, chemical, histological and radiographic analysis. Discussion of ways in which these methods can be applied to the reconstruction of health, disease and life histories in the past is central to the discipline, so the journal would also encourage papers covering interpretive and theoretical issues, and those that place the study of disease at the centre of a bioarchaeological or biocultural approach. Papers dealing with historical evidence relating to disease in the past (rather than history of medicine) will also be published. The journal will also accept significant studies that applied previously developed techniques to new materials, setting the research in the context of current debates on past human and animal health.

Clarivate IF

Ameghiniana is a bimonthly journal that publishes original contributions on all disciplines related to paleontology, with a special focus on the paleontology of Gondwana and the biotic history of the southern hemisphere. Published yearly since 1957, it has undoubtedly become the main palaeontological publication from Latin America. Ameghiniana has recently broadened its editorial board, reorganized its production process, and increased to a bimonthly frequency, which resulted in a significant decrease in the turn around time.

Clarivate IF

AUSTRIAN JOURNAL OF EARTH SCIENCES is the official journal of the Austrian Geological, Mineralogical and Palaeontological Societies, hosted by a country that is famous for its spectacular mountains that are the birthplace for many geological and mineralogical concepts in modern Earth science. AUSTRIAN JOURNAL OF EARTH SCIENCE focuses on all aspects relevant to the geosciences of the Alps, Bohemian Massif and surrounding areas. Contributions on other regions are welcome if they embed their findings into a conceptual framework that relates the contribution to Alpine-type orogens and Alpine regions in general, and are thus relevant to an international audience. Contributions are subject to peer review and editorial control according to SCI guidelines to ensure that the required standard of scientific excellence is maintained.

Palaeontographica Section A publishes peer reviewed results of studies on palaeozoology, paleoecology and biostratigraphy. Its large paper format provides sufficient space for large tables, illustrations, photographs and Palaeontographica’s renowned plates. Published contributions span all areas of palaeozoology, i.e., systematic, phylogenetic and ecological aspects. Careful peer review ensures the high quality of the papers, covering localities all over the world. Many landmark papers in palaeozoology and biostratigraphy were published in Section A of Palaeontographica. This includes numerous lavishly illustrated monographs of certain groups of fossils and stratigraphic ranges. These monographs, are typical for Paleontographica papers, characterised by numerous highest quality plates and are printed on special high quality paper for excellent reproduction of picture plates.

Palaeontographica Abteilung B-Palaeophytologie Palaeobotany-Palaeophytology

Clarivate IF

Section B of Palaeontographica publishes contributions to palaeobotany, i.e. papers on morphological traits, systematics and phylogenetic features of plants as well as papers on palaeoclimatology and palynogeography. Especially worth mentioning are the comprehensive monographs published in Palaeontographica B on specific floras or plant groups. Often palaeoclimatic or stratigraphic problems are clarified by resorting to palaeobotanical data published in Section B of Palaeontographica. Throughout the last decades, numerous objects important to palaeophytology have been found in many places all over the world. As Palaeontographica publishes papers on floras on any parts of the world to report world-wide research, contributions in German, English and French have been published since the beginning of the journal, today English language publications are preferred. Palaeontographica B is of interest to palaeobotanists, palynologists, palaeoclimatologists, stratigraphers and the libraries of all institutions engaging in such research.
