The Journal Soldagem & Inspeção (S&I) js a techno-scientific journal created in 1995. Printed issues of this journal are distributed free of charge to libraries in Brazil, Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. It has been printed regularly every quarter since September, 2002, and, since the beginning of 2007, its electronic version is available in the address: (http://www.abs-soldagem.org.br/s&i/). The journal is sponsored by the Brazilian Welding Association (ABS). Since its creation several well known professionals working in welding contributed with the Journal Soldagem & Inspeção and its editorial board crosses the Brazilian borders. During its evolution the Journal received ta special contribution from the Editors-in-chief : Ronaldo Paranhos, Américo Scoti, Paulo Modenesi e Alexandre Bracarence. Since January 2012 the Editor-in-chief is Ana Sofia C. M. D’Oliveira, Full professor at Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) . Her work focus mainly on Hardfacing and Physical Metallurgy. The jornal Soldagem & Inspeção also counts with 10 Associate Editors and a fix Editorial board of referees. short-term (Ad Hoc) referees can be invited to evaluate some papers submitted to the journal. The Soldagem & Inspeção journal is the scientific divulgation channel of the Brazilian Welding Association (ABS). It aims to publish original papers related to the scientific and technological development of welding, inspection, and related fields. Review papers or letters on current and controversial subjects are also published in the Journal. Its abbreviated title is Soldag. insp. (Impr.), which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.

The International Journal of Materials Research (IJMR) publishes original high quality experimental and theoretical papers and reviews on basic and applied research in the field of materials science and engineering, with focus on synthesis, processing, constitution, and properties of all classes of materials. Particular emphasis is placed on microstructural design, phase relations, computational thermodynamics, and kinetics at the nano to macro scale. Contributions may also focus on progress in advanced characterization techniques. All articles are subject to thorough, independent peer review.

Protection of Metals and Physical Chemistry of Surfaces is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes articles covering all aspects of the physical chemistry of materials and interfaces in various environments. The journal covers all related problems of modern physical chemistry and materials science, including: physicochemical processes at interfaces; adsorption phenomena; complexing from molecular and supramolecular structures at the interfaces to new substances, materials and coatings; nanoscale and nanostructured materials and coatings, composed and dispersed materials; physicochemical problems of corrosion, degradation and protection; investigation methods for surface and interface systems, processes, structures, materials and coatings. No principe restrictions exist related systems, types of processes, methods of control and study. The journal welcomes conceptual, theoretical, experimental, methodological, instrumental, environmental, and all other possible studies.

Metallurgist is the leading Russian journal in metallurgy. Publication started in 1956. Basic topics covered include: State of the art and development of enterprises in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and mining; Metallurgy of ferrous, nonferrous, rare, and precious metals; Metallurgical equipment; Automation and control; Protection of labor; Protection of the environment; Resources and energy saving; Quality and certification; History of metallurgy; Inventions (patents).

The Physics of Metals and Metallography (Fizika metallov i metallovedenie) was founded in 1955 by the USSR Academy of Sciences. Its scientific profile involves the theory of metals and metal alloys, their electrical and magnetic properties, as well as their structure, phase transformations, and principal mechanical properties. The journal also publishes scientific reviews and papers written by experts involved in fundamental, application, and technological studies. The annual volume of publications amounts to some 250 papers submitted from 100 leading national scientific institutions.

Practical Metallography is a bilingual (German-English) journal that informs you thoroughly on materialographic preparation, imaging and analysis of microstructures. The journal covers the development and improvement of metallographic methods and equipment, possibilities of optical and electron microscopy, spectroscopy, diffraction techniques, non-destructive testing, metallographic investigations of materials, problems of specimens preparation and evaluation including useful laboratory advice and recipes, failure analysis including damage detection and elimination.

Metal Science and Heat Treatment presents new fundamental and practical research in physical metallurgy, heat treatment equipment, and surface engineering. Revista de Metalurgia is a bimonhly publication. Since 1998 Revista de Metalurgia and Revista Soldadura have been combined in a single publicación that conserves the name Revista de Metalurgia but also includes welding and cutting topics. Revista de Metalurgia is cited since 1997 in the ISI"s Journal of Citation Reports (JCR) Science Edition, and in SCOPUS.

The journal ISIJ International first appeared in 1961 under the title Tetsu-to-Hagané Overseas. The title was changed in 1966 to Transactions of The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan and again in 1989 to the current ISIJ International. The journal provides an international medium for the publication of fundamental and technological aspects of the properties, structure, characterization and modeling, processing, fabrication, and environmental issues of iron and steel, along with related engineering materials. The Journal reports on scientific and technological developments worldwide in the powder metallurgy and particulate materials industries. Articles cover both the scientific/theoretical and practical aspects of the technology. The journal Metalurgija is primary scientific periodical that publishes scientific papers (original papers, preliminary notes, reviewed papers) as well as professional papers from the area of basic, applicable and developing researching in metallurgy and boundary metallurgy areas (physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering). These papers relate to processing ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, treating investigating as well as testing of raw materials, semi products and products, especially in the area of improving new materials and possibilities of their implementation. The journal is the only national periodical of this kind in the Republic of Croatia and covers the scientific field of metallurgy, especially: physical metallurgy and materials; process metailurgy, (ferrous and non-ferrous); mechanical metallurgy (processing, power , etc.); related (adjoing) branches: mechanlcal engineering, chemistry, physics etc.
