Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability

Elsevier•ISSN: 1877-3435•England
8.6
Clarivate IF

The Current Opinion journals were developed out of the recognition that it is increasingly difficult for specialists to keep up to date with the expanding volume of information published in their subject. In Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, we help the reader by providing in a systematic manner: 1. The views of experts on current advances in environmental sustainability in a clear and readable form. 2. Evaluations of the most interesting papers, annotated by experts, from the great wealth of original publications. Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability aims to track the emergence of a new innovative sustainability science discipline by integrating across regional and global systems with their typical dimensions, human-environment interactions and management challenges. Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability thus emphasises the actual interdisciplinary sustainability research approaches, the solutions it provides and their dissemination and application. The subject of environmental sustainability is divided into 6 themed annual issues. Each theme helps to identify, understand and solve sustainability problems and are not mutually exclusive. The overlap results from the actual complexity of combining all the sustainability science dimensions and approaches. The themes are: 1. Environmental change issues; 2. Environmental change assessments; 3. System dynamics and sustainability; 4. Sustainability governance and transformation; 5. Sustainability challenges; 6. Sustainability science.

Clarivate IF

Habitat International is dedicated to the study of urban and rural human settlements: their planning, design, production and management. Its main focus is on urbanisation in its broadest sense in the developing world. However, increasingly the interrelationships and linkages between cities and towns in the developing and developed worlds are becoming apparent and solutions to the problems that result are urgently required. The economic, social, technological and political systems of the world are intertwined and changes in one region almost always affect other regions.

Clarivate IF

The journal publishes review articles which are original and significant and deal with all aspects of neuroscience, where the relationship to the study of psychological processes and behavior is clearly established. Conversely, the journal will also publish articles whose primary focus deals with psychological processes and behavior, and which have relevance to one or more aspects of neuroscience. Submissions to the journal are actively encouraged which deal with topics not only in the more traditional areas, but also in the following areas, whenever the reviews bring new insights into brain-behavior relations: • Neuropsychology; • Cognitive neuroscience; • Brain imaging; • In vivo monitoring of the brain's electrical and biochemical activities; • Molecular biology; • Genetics; • Neurocomputation. Theoretical articles and mini-reviews, for which the scope and literature coverage are more restricted, will also be published. We do not publish empirical papers. We welcome review articles from clinical researchers whose submission exceeds the high quality threshold for the journal and significantly advances our understanding of a field.

Sensors and Actuators B-Chemical

Elsevier•ISSN: 0925-4005 / 1944-8201•Switzerland
8.3
Clarivate IF

Sensors & Actuators, B: Chemical is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing research and development in the field of chemical sensors and biosensors, chemical actuators and analytical microsystems. The journal aims to promote original works that demonstrate significant progress beyond the current state of the art in these fields along with applicability to solve meaningful analytical problems. Review articles may only be submitted upon invitation from an Editor of the journal. The journal aims to publish works that are supported by experimental results and as such purely theoretical works are not accepted. The analytical performance in all analytical parameters needs to be reported and critically compared with the state of the art. Sensing applications will be considered only if they refer to analytically challenging complex samples and are properly validated. The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following areas: • Novel chemical sensing and biosensing concepts, mechanisms and detection principles • Development of chemical sensors and biosensors • Fabrication technology of chemical sensors, biosensors, chip-based detection devices and chemical actuators • Chemical actuators including soft actuators, micro- and nanomotors, microfluidic components • Photonic and biophotonic sensors and chemical sensing systems • Lab-on-a-chip, Micro Total Analysis Systems (µTAS) and other biochips and microarray systems • Sensor and sensor-array chemometrics

Thin-Walled Structures

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0263-8231•England
8.3
Clarivate IF

Thin-walled structures comprises an important and growing proportion of engineering construction with areas of application becoming increasingly diverse, ranging from aircraft, bridges, ships and oil rigs to storage vessels, industrial buildings and warehouses. Many factors, including cost and weight economy, new materials and processes and the growth of powerful methods of analysis have contributed to this growth, and led to the need for a journal which concentrates specifically on structures in which problems arise due to the thinness of the walls. This field includes cold– formed sections, plate and shell structures, reinforced plastics structures and aluminium structures, and is of importance in many branches of engineering. The primary criterion for consideration of papers in Thin–Walled Structures is that they must be concerned with thin–walled structures or the basic problems inherent in thin–walled structures. Provided this criterion is satisfied no restriction is placed on the type of construction, material or field of application. Papers on theory, experiment, design, etc., are published and it is expected that many papers will contain aspects of all three.
