Ardeola-International Journal of Ornithology

SEO/ Birdlife•ISSN: 0570-7358 / 2341-0825•Spain
1.1
Clarivate IF

Ardeola: International Journal of Ornithology is the scientific journal of SEO/BirdLife, the Spanish Ornithological Society. The journal had a regional focus when it was first published, in 1954. Since then, and particular during the past two decades, the journal has expanded its thematic and geographical scope. It is now a fully international forum for research on all aspects of ornithology. We thus welcome studies within the fields of basic biology, ecology, behaviour, conservation and biogeography, especially those arising from hypothesis-based research. Although we have a long publication history of Mediterranean and Neotropical studies, we accept papers on investigations worldwide. Each volume of Ardeola has two parts, published annually in January and July. The main body of each issue comprises full-length original articles (Papersand Review articles) and shorter notes on methodology or stimulating findings (Short Communications). The publication language is English, with summaries, figure legends and table captions also in Spanish. Ardeolaalso publishes critical Book Reviewsand PhD-Dissertation Summaries; summarising ornithological theses defended in Spain. Finally there are two Spanish-language sections, Ornithological News; summarising significant recent observations of birds in Spain, and Observations of Rare Birds in Spain, the annual reports of the Spanish Rarities Committee.

Nematology

Brill Academic Publishers•ISSN: 1388-5545 / 1568-5411•Netherlands
1
Clarivate IF

Nematology is an international journal for the publication of all aspects of nematological research (with the exception of vertebrate parasitology), from molecular biology to field studies. Papers on nematode parasites of arthropods, and on soil free-living nematodes, and on interactions of these and other organisms, are particularly welcome. Research on fresh water and marine nematodes is also considered when the observations are of more general interest. Nematology publishes full research papers, short communications, Forum articles (which permit an author to express a view on current or fundamental subjects), perspectives on nematology, and reviews of books and other media.

Journal of Molluscan Studies

Oxford University Press•ISSN: 0260-1230 / 1464-3766•England
0.9
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Molluscan Studies accepts papers on all aspects of the study of molluscs. These include systematics, molecular genetics, palaeontology, ecology, evolution, and physiology. Where the topic is in a specialized field (e.g. parasitology, neurobiology, biochemistry, molecular biology), submissions will still be accepted as long as the mollusc is the principal focus of the study, and not incidental or simply a convenient experimental animal. Papers with a focus on fisheries biology, aquaculture, and control of molluscan pests will be accepted only if they include significant advances in molluscan biology. While systematic papers are encouraged, descriptions of single new taxa will only be considered if they include some ‘added value’, for example in the form of new information on anatomy or distribution, or if they are presented in the context of a systematic revision or phylogenetic analysis of the group.

Journal of the History of Biology

Springer Netherlands•ISSN: 0022-5010 / 1573-0387•Netherlands
0.7
Clarivate IF

The Journal of the History of Biology is devoted to the history of the life sciences, with additional interest and concern in philosophical and social issues confronting biology in its varying historical contexts. While all historical epochs are welcome, particular attention has been paid in recent years to developments during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. JHB is a recognized forum for scholarship on Darwin, but pieces that connect Darwinism with broader social and intellectual issues in the life sciences are especially encouraged. The journal serves both the working biologist who needs a full understanding of the historical and philosophical bases of the field and the historian of biology interested in following developments and making historiographical connections with the history of science.
