The American Sociologist publishes papers, comments, and other writings on topics of professional and disciplinary concern to sociologists. The editors seem papers that examine the intellectual, practical, and ethical issues that affect the work, careers, and perspectives of sociologists. In addition, the editors especially encourage research and reporting on the ways in which sociological knowledge and skill relate to issues of broad public concern, past, present, and future. Topics might include: the uses of sociology in academic and nonacademic settings; the training, placement, and career paths of sociologist; structural and ideological dimensions that affect the development of new perspectives in the discipline; the ethics of research, teaching, and practice; the application of sociological knowledge and methods in practical problems, the historical and interdisciplinary roots of sociological knowledge; and the contribution of sociologists to professional and public issues.
Journal of Intercultural Studies showcases innovative scholarship about emerging cultural formations, intercultural negotiations and contemporary challenges to cultures and identities. It welcomes theoretically informed articles from diverse disciplines that contribute to the following discussions: -Reconceptualising notions of nationhood, citizenship and belonging; -Questioning theories of diaspora, transnationalism, hybridity and ‘border crossing’, and their contextualised applications; -Exploring the contemporary sociocultural formations of whiteness, ethnicity, racialization, postcolonialism and indigeneity -Examining how past and contemporary key scholars can inform current thinking on intercultural knowledge, multiculturalism, race and cultural identity. Journal of Intercultural Studies is an international, interdisciplinary journal that particularly encourages contributions from scholars in cultural studies, sociology, migration studies, literary studies, gender studies, anthropology, cultural geography, urban studies, race and ethnic studies.
Journal SOCIOLÓGIA (SK ISSN 0049-1225, ISSN 1336-8613) is published bi-monthly by the Institute for Sociology at the Slovak Academy of Sciences. One volume contains 4 (four) Slovak language numbers and 2 (two) numbers in English language under the title SOCIOLÓGIA SLOVAK SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW.

Cosmopolitan Civil Societies: An Interdisciplinary Journal is concerned with developing a better understanding of social change and cultural cohesion in cosmopolitan societies. Its focus lies at the intersection of conflict and cohesion, and in how division can be transformed into dialogue, recognition and inclusion. The Journal takes a grounded approach to cosmopolitanism, linking it to civil society studies. It opens up debate about cosmopolitan engagement in civil societies, addressing a range of sites: social movements and collective action; migration, cultural diversity and responses to racism; the promotion of human rights and social justice; initiatives to strengthen civil societies; the impact of ‘information society’ and the context of environmental change.

Latino Studies has established itself as the leading, international peer-reviewed journal for advancing interdisciplinary scholarship about the lived experience and struggles of Latinas and Latinos for equality, representation, and social justice. Sustaining the tradition of activist scholarship of the founders of Chicana and Chicano Studies and Puerto Rican Studies, the journal critically engages the study of the local, national, transnational, and hemispheric realities that continue to influence the Latina and Latino presence in the United States. It is committed to developing a new transnational research agenda that bridges the academic and non-academic worlds and fosters mutual learning and collaboration among all the Latino national groups. Latino Studies provides an intellectual forum for innovative explorations and theorization. We welcome submissions of original research articles of up to 8,000 words, from scholars and practitioners in the national and international research communities. In addition to scholarly articles, we also invite other type of submissions. Vivencias or 'reports from the field' are short personal essays between 2000-3000 words that describe and analyze significant local issues, struggles and debates affecting the lives of Latinas/os in different regions of the country. We also welcome interviews with Latinas/os who are contributing in their local communities or nationwide (e.g. authors, artists, community activists, union leaders, etc.). Our aim in publishing the 'reports' is to inform readers about events that are sometimes over-looked by the national and regional media.The Reflexiones Pedagógicas section includes short essays between 2000-3000 words that address issues of pedagogy and curriculum. This section contributes toward the development and institutionalization of our field in the academy. Páginas Recuperadas are short essays between 2000-3000 words that seek to recover archival documents. These essays make visible, historically significant achievements by individuals, and pivotal events in the experience of Latinas/os in the United States. El Foro is an occasional section that provides a space for essays of approximately 6000 words, addressing current events, in an effort to further engage our readers in a dialogue on the pressing issues affecting Latina/o communities today.Book and media reviews are devoted to scholarship/media on the experience of Latinas/os in the United States. Reviews are no more than 1000 words.
Since its foundation in 1935, Theoria publishes research in all areas of philosophy. Theoria is committed to precision and clarity in philosophical discussions, and encourages cooperation between philosophy and other disciplines. The journal is not affiliated with any particular school or faction. Instead, it promotes dialogues between different philosophical viewpoints. Theoria is peer-reviewed.
