WMU Journal of Maritime Affairs Aims and Scope The WMU Journal of Maritime Affairs (JOMA) is an internationally peer-reviewed journal that covers such subject areas as maritime safety, maritime energy, maritime administration, management and operations, and marine environment protection and gives special attention to human factors, impacts of technology, and policy-making in this context. JOMA is for academics, researchers and professionals in the maritime industry. It aims at serving the international maritime community by presenting current thinking and evidence-based arguments on those subjects of topical interest, reporting on relevant research findings and addressing inter-relationships among those subjects in a multi-disciplinary manner to improve the efficacy of maritime transport.  The Journal accepts articles and book reviews for publication. Articles should be conceptually reasoned and/or empirically data-driven. Articles reviewing relevant literature in a systematic manner are also considered for publication. Reviewing recently published books in the field is welcomed for publication. JOMA has a section dedicated to the activities of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU). The IAMU Section is focused on maritime education and training (MET). Articles and book reviews to be accepted for publication in the IAMU Section follow the Journal’s guidelines. Issues of Contemporary Interest, Reports and Comments in the field of MET are not always covered by traditional research; however, valuable lessons could be learned from best practices or critical discussions from a perspective of practitioners. IAMU and JOMA encourage experts in the field to submit their views to the IAMU Section. Authoritative voices and leading figures in the Journal domains are occasionally invited to submit an article as an Invited Paper. A well prepared proposal for a Special Issue is also welcome. More can be obtained from the editor-in-chief.

Current Trauma Reports

Springer Nature•ISSN: 2198-6096•Switzerland
2.5
Clarivate IF

Aims: The goal of this journal is to provide concentrated, evidence-based information in the field of trauma through authoritative reviews. It has become almost impossible for the average physician to keep up with the flood of information that is published in numerous medical journals or the internet. Original articles, although often important or even ground-breaking, have typically a narrow focus and on occasions lack scientific rigor. Whereas physicians are encouraged to spend the necessary time reviewing critically the methodology and results of an original article, their fast-paced professional lives allow limited opportunities to do so. Therefore, the need for thoughtful, well-constructed, and comprehensive reviews has increased in our times more than ever before. Our new journal intends to do what the average reader cannot afford doing. It intends to summarize the pertinent information, exclude the irrelevant details, and offer thorough, clinically-focused reviews. We have summoned true experts from around the world to contribute these reviews, based on their detailed analysis of the literature and rich personal experience. We hope that this information will be readily useable and help shape the practice of those who read it. Scope: Our journal is about trauma. It will include every possible blunt or penetrating traumatic injury in any part of the body. It will describe diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, operative and non-operative alike. It will present treatment algorithms and caution about pitfalls and complications. It will compare outcomes, as shown in the literature, and make evidence-based recommendations about preferred pathways. Besides the strict focus on traumatic diseases and their treatment, it will also expand on broader issues related to injury prevention and rehabilitation. All in all, we expect that the scope of the journal will cover everything that has to do with trauma.

Spatial Information Research

Springer Nature•ISSN: 2366-3286 / 2366-3294•Updating
2.5
Clarivate IF

The Spatial Information Research (SIR) mixes academia and industry for Spatial Information Science in a way that no other international journal in this field does. The journal brings science and practice together. This is reflected in a SIR article type, which contains a classical scientific part as well as a chapter with easily understandable practical implications for policy makers and practitioners. It publishes best practice examples (case reports), review as well as theories, methods and data analysis with a link (or a potential link) to spatial information. The boundary of acceptable subject matter has been intentionally left flexible so that the SIR can follow the research activities, technology applications and future trends to build a bridge between science and practice. In this regard, the journal is interested in articles having significant social science component (e.g. spatial information law, cadaster, real property, market survey, marketing strategy, urban planning, regional development, public administration, business administration) that address the social drivers or policy processes of spatial information. The focus of the journal is on all aspects of the application of spatial information science exploring cross-disciplinary exchange of knowledge within and across sectors and disciplines including but not limited to; Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), open source geospatial software, cadaster, smart city, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Internet of Things (IOT), 3D visualization, spatial statistics, cartography, Computer-aided design (CAD), photogrammetry, image processing, Topographic surveys, mobile mapping, Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN), programming languages, computer graphics. The different types of articles published in Spatial Information Research are indicated as below;• Original research article (5,000 words): Providing a novel and original contribution to the scientific fields of study outlined above. • Review papers (extensive state-of-the-art surveys of established or emerging topics or application areas); • Special case reports (new useful ideas and brief pertinent comments of a technical nature). • Others that editorial board agrees; rapid communications and discussions, financial funding proposal, opinions, comments and proposals, tutorial.

Journal of International Entrepreneurship

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1570-7385 / 1573-7349•Netherlands

Competition in international markets was traditionally the realm of large companies, with smaller firms tending to remain local or regional. Internationalisation was an expansion option of interest to some enterprises, but seldom was it a competitive necessity. Many opted to avoid the uncertainties of competing in foreign markets, and simply kept their firms small and local. Traditional internationalisation theories, therefore, focused mainly on large multinational corporations, and were less pertinent to smaller firms. With the liberalisation of trade, however, domestic firms are threatened by international competitors that are penetrating formerly protected markets. Nowadays, internationalisation affects everyone, whether or not they wish to internationalise themselves. The threats and opportunities of internationalisation must be addressed. Globalisation is transforming the competitive environment of small and large players alike. As a result, internationalisation issues will continue to be increasingly important to business. Public policy agendas already include programmes to help entrepreneurs become successful at internationalisation. There is a growing need to understand internationalisation in the context of entrepreneurship, as well as large multinationals. Knowledge of how, when and why firms internationalise - either incrementally or not - will surely be the focus of energetic researchers. Yet, up to now, academia has been lacking a journal dedicated to internationalisation issues. To fill this niche, the aforementioned editorial team wishes to offer an outlet for high-quality research addressing the opportunities and challenges intrinsic to internationalisation. The primary audience for this journal will be researchers of entrepreneurship and international business. In addition, readership is certain to include business-people and policy-makers. The editors invite submissions that analyse internationalisation, combining theore tical and empirical work. Researchers will be encouraged to conduct comparative studies, and to evaluate competing theories. The composition of the editorial team - including experts in international business and experts in entrepreneurship - is designed to avoid editorial bias. Every effort will be made to reach a first decision about a submission, within sixty days. Officially cited as: J Int Entrep
