The journal publishes original papers in all areas of pure and applied mathematics.
The Journal is to provide an outlet for papers which are original and of high quality in mathematical control theory, systems theory, and applied information sciences. Short papers and mathematical correspondence or technical notes will be welcome, although the primary function of the journal is to publish papers of substantial length and coverage. The emphasis will be upon relevance, originality and clarify of presentation, although timeliness may well be an important feature in acceptable papers. Speculative papers that suggest new avenues for research or potential solutions to unsolved problems of control and information theory will be particularly welcome. Specific application papers will not normally be within the remit of the journal. Applications that illustrate techniques or theories will be acceptable. A prime function of the journal is to encourage the interplay between control and information theory and other mathematical sciences. All submitted papers will be judged on their merits by at least two referees and a full paper report will be available to the intending authors. Submitted articles will in general be published in an issue within six months of submission. Papers should not have previously published, nor should they be undes consideration for publication in another journal. This Journal takes publication ethics very seriously. If misconduct is found or suspected after the manuscript is published, the journal will investigate the matter and this may result in the article subsequently being retracted.

Annals of Functional Analysis is published by Birkhäuser on behalf of the Tusi Mathematical Research Group. Ann. Funct. Anal. is a peer-reviewed electronic journal publishing papers of high standards with deep results, new ideas, profound impact, and significant implications in all areas of functional analysis and all modern related topics (e.g., operator theory). Ann. Funct. Anal. normally publishes original research papers numbering 18 or fewer pages in the journal’s style. Longer papers may be submitted to the Banach Journal of Mathematical Analysis or Advances in Operator Theory. Ann. Funct. Anal. presents the best paper award yearly. The award in the year n is given to the best paper published in the years n-1 and n-2. The referee committee consists of selected editors of the journal.
The Journal of Spectral Theory is devoted to the publication of research articles that focus on spectral theory and its many areas of application. Articles of all lengths including surveys of parts of the subject are very welcome. Schrödinger operators, scattering theory and resonances; eigenvalues: perturbation theory, asymptotics and inequalities; quantum graphs, graph Laplacians; pseudo-differential operators and semi-classical analysis; random matrix theory; the Anderson model and other random media; non-self-adjoint matrices and operators, including Toeplitz operators; spectral geometry, including manifolds and automorphic forms; linear and nonlinear differential operators, especially those arising in geometry and physics; orthogonal polynomials; inverse problems.
Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (AAMM) provides a fast communication platform among researchers using mathematics as a tool for solving problems in mechanics and engineering, with particular emphasis in the integration of theory and applications. To cover as wide audiences as possible, abstract or axiomatic mathematics is not encouraged. Innovative numerical analysis, numerical methods, and interdisciplinary applications are particularly welcome.
Annals of Combinatorics publishes outstanding contributions to combinatorics with a particular focus on algebraic and analytic combinatorics, as well as the areas of graph and matroid theory. Special regard will be given to new developments and topics of current interest to the community represented by our editorial board. Applied Mathematics promotes the integration of mathematics with other scientific disciplines, expanding its fields of study and promoting the development of relevant interdisciplinary subjects. The journal mainly publishes original research papers that apply mathematical concepts, theories and methods to other subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, information science, energy, environmental science, economics, and finance. In addition, it also reports the latest developments and trends in which mathematics interacts with other disciplines. Readers include professors and students, professionals in applied mathematics, and engineers at research institutes and in industry. Applied Mathematics - A Journal of Chinese Universities has been an English-language quarterly since 1993. The English edition, abbreviated as Series B, has different contents than this Chinese edition, Series A.
Ars mathematica contemporanea will publish high-quality articles in contemporary mathematics that arise from the discrete and concrete mathematics paradigm. It will favor themes that combine at least two different fields of mathematics. In particular, we welcome papers intersecting discrete mathematics with other branches of mathematics, such as algebra, geometry, topology, theoretical computer science, and combinatorics. The name of the journal was chosen carefully. Symmetry is certainly a theme that is quite welcome to the journal, as it is through symmetry that mathematics comes closest to art.
Discrete Optimization publishes research papers on the mathematical, computational and applied aspects of all areas of integer programming and combinatorial optimization. In addition to reports on mathematical results pertinent to discrete optimization, the journal welcomes submissions on algorithmic developments, computational experiments, and novel applications (in particular, large-scale and real-time applications). The journal also publishes clearly labelled surveys, reviews, short notes, and open problems. Manuscripts submitted for possible publication to Discrete Optimization should report on original research, should not have been previously published, and should not be under consideration for publication by any other journal.
All topics on differential equations and their applications (ODEs, PDEs, integral equations, delay equations, functional differential equations, etc.) will be considered for publication in Electronic Journal of Differential Equations.
Stochastics: An International Journal of Probability and Stochastic Processes is a world-leading journal publishing research concerned with stochastic processes and their applications in the modelling, analysis and optimization of stochastic systems, i.e. processes characterized both by temporal or spatial evolution and by the presence of random effects. Articles are published dealing with all aspects of stochastic systems analysis, characterization problems, stochastic modelling and identification, optimization, filtering and control and with related questions in the theory of stochastic processes. The journal also solicits papers dealing with significant applications of stochastic process theory to problems in engineering systems, the physical and life sciences, economics and other areas. Proposals for special issues in cutting-edge areas are welcome and should be directed to the Editor-in-Chief who will review accordingly. In recent years there has been a growing interaction between current research in probability theory and problems in stochastic systems. The objective of Stochastics is to encourage this trend, promoting an awareness of the latest theoretical developments on the one hand and of mathematical problems arising in applications on the other.
