RIE-Revista de Investigacion Educativa

Asociación Interuniversitaria de Investigacion Pedagogica (AIDIPE)•ISSN: 0212-4068 / 1989-9106•Spain
1.9
Clarivate IF

Revista de Investigación Educativa (RIE) is distinguished for its general profile of an international nature and its openness to society. RIE is useful for the scientific community and particularly for any professional from an educational field with an interest in pedagogical research. This journal intends to spread empirical research papers which carry out a synthesis-review of a topic, methodological proposals, etc. The publication of scientific work in the following sections will be considered and the journal would be open to accept and publish quality papers focused on educational research. Papers which describe its methodology in a strict and clear way will have preference. For the acceptance of an article in the RIE journal, the research must be of general interest, as well as generalizable. This implies that the sample must seek representativeness (whether quantitative or qualitative studies) or a wide variability of essential elements for its generalization (cases, situations, ...), which excludes experiences and case studies (except in very extraordinary conditions, which implies a clear and significant innovation - conceptual, procedural, etc.).

Teaching Education

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 1047-6210 / 1470-1286•United Kingdom
1.9
Clarivate IF

Teaching Education is an interdisciplinary forum for innovative practices and research in teacher education. Submission of manuscripts from educational researchers, teacher educators and practicing teachers is encouraged. Contributions are invited which address social and cultural, practical and theoretical aspects of teacher education in university-, college-, and school-based contexts. The journal’s focus is on the challenges and possibilities of rapid social and cultural change for teacher education and, more broadly, for the transformation of education. These challenges include: the impact of new cultures and globalisation on curriculum and pedagogy; new collaborations and partnerships between universities, schools and other social service agencies; the consequences of new community and family configurations for teachers’ work; generational and cultural change in schools and teacher education institutions; new technologies and education; and the impact of higher education policy and funding on teacher education. Manuscripts addressing critical and theory-based research or scholarly reflections and debate on contemporary issues related to teacher education, will be considered. Papers should attempt to present research, innovative theoretical and/or practical insights in relevant current literature and debate.

Clarivate IF

The Community College Review (CCR) has led the nation for over 35 years in the publication of scholarly, peer-reviewed research and commentary on community colleges. CCR welcomes manuscripts dealing with all aspects of community college administration, education, and policy, both within the American higher education system as well as within the higher education systems of other countries that have similar tertiary institutions. All submitted manuscripts undergo a blind review. When manuscripts are not accepted for publication, we offer suggestions for how they might be revised. The ultimate intent is to further discourse about community colleges, their students, and the educators and administrators who work within these institutions.

Education As Change

Unisa Press•ISSN: 1682-3206 / 1947-9417•South Africa
1.8
Clarivate IF

Education as Change is an accredited, peer reviewed scholarly online journal that publishes original articles reflecting critically on issues of equality in education and on the ways in which educational practices contribute to transformation in non-formal, formal and informal contexts. Critique, mainly understood in the tradition of critical pedagogies, is a constructive process which contributes towards a better world. Contributions from and about marginalised communities and from different knowledge traditions are encouraged. The articles could draw on any rigorous research methodology, as well as transdisciplinary approaches. Research of a very specialised or technical nature should be framed within relevant discourses. While specialised kinds of research are encouraged, authors are expected to write for a broader audience of educational researchers and practitioners without losing conceptual and theoretical depth and rigour. All sectors of education are covered in the journal. These include primary, secondary and tertiary education, adult education, worker education, educational policy and teacher education.

Educational Philosophy and Theory publishes articles concerned with all aspects of educational philosophy. It will also consider manuscripts from other areas of pure or applied educational research. In this latter category the journal has published manuscripts concerned with curriculum theory, educational administration, the politics of education, educational history, educational policy, and higher education. As part of the journal's commitment to extending the dialogues of educational philosophy to the profession and education's several disciplines, it encourages the submission of manuscripts from collateral areas of study in education, the arts, and sciences, as well as from professional educators. Nevertheless, manuscripts must be germane to the ongoing conversations and dialogues of educational philosophy.

Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 1934-5747 / 1934-5739•United States
1.8
Clarivate IF

As the flagship publication for the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness, the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness (JREE) publishes original articles from the multidisciplinary community of researchers who are committed to applying principles of scientific inquiry to the study of educational problems. Articles published in JREE should advance our knowledge of factors important for educational success and/or improve our ability to conduct further disciplined studies of pressing educational problems. JREE welcomes manuscripts that fit into one of the following categories: (1) intervention, evaluation, and policy studies; (2) theory, contexts, and mechanisms; and (3) methodological studies. The first category includes studies that focus on process and implementation and seek to demonstrate causal claims in educational research. The second category includes meta-analyses and syntheses, descriptive studies that illuminate educational conditions and contexts, and studies that rigorously investigate education processes and mechanism. The third category includes studies that advance our understanding of theoretical and technical features of measurement and research design and describe advances in data analysis and data modeling. To establish a stronger connection between scientific evidence and educational practice, studies submitted to JREE should focus on pressing problems found in classrooms and schools. Studies that help advance our understanding and demonstrate effectiveness related to challenges in reading, mathematics education, and science education are especially welcome as are studies related to cognitive functions, social processes, organizational factors, and cultural features that mediate and/or moderate critical educational outcomes. On occasion, invited responses to JREE articles and rejoinders to those responses will be included in an issue.
