Osterreichische Zeitschrift fuer Soziologie

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1011-0070 / 1862-2585•Switzerland

Clarivate IF

Österreichische Zeitschrift für Soziologie (ÖZS) – Austrian Journal of Sociology was founded in 1976 by the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Soziologie (ÖGS) (“Austrian Sociological Association”). The ÖZS is an academic journal aiming at promoting current debates as well as the exchange of new developments and insights in sociological and social-science research. Its contributions cover the entire range of sociological issues and approaches, including interdisciplinary ones. It is managed by an independent editorial team guaranteeing its autonomy with an international Advisory Board. The ÖZS publishes double-blind peer-reviewed original research articles in German and English from all areas of sociology, including theoretical, empirical, and methodological articles. Research notes (short representations of unpublished, completed projects of broad interest), book reviews, and contributions in response to previous publications in the ÖZS complement each of the four annual issues. Every second issue contains publications on a topical focus. In addition, supplements are published on specific topics on the initiative of sociologists who are not necessarily members of the editorial board. The planning and publication of these special issues are carried out in cooperation with the editors, who also check the issue’s compliance with quality standards. The journal’s target audience encompasses sociologists and social scientists in related fields. The editors support early career sociologists through preliminary evaluation of submitted manuscripts.

Review of Economic Design

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1434-4742 / 1434-4750•Germany
0.4
Clarivate IF

Review of Economic Design comprises the creative art and science of inventing, analyzing and testing economic as well as social and political institutions and mechanisms aimed at achieving individual objectives and social goals. In this age of Economic Design, the accumulated traditions and wealth of knowledge in normative and positive economics and the strategic analysis of game theory are applied with novel ideas in the creative tasks of designing and assembling diverse legal-economic instruments. These include constitutions and other assignments of rights, mechanisms for allocation or regulation, tax and incentive schemes, contract forms, voting and other choice aggregation procedures, markets, auctions, organizational forms, such as partnerships, together with supporting membership and other property rights, and information systems. These designs, the methods of analysis used in their scrutiny, as well as the mathematical techniques and empirical knowledge they employ, along with comparative assessments of the performance of known economic systems and implemented designs, all of these form natural components of the subject matter of Economic Design. Theory and Decision

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0040-5833 / 1573-7187•Netherlands
0.4
Clarivate IF

The field of decision has been investigated from many sides. However, research programs relevant to decision making in psychology, management science, economics, the theory of games, statistics, operations research, artificial intelligence, cognitive science and analytical philosophy have remained separate. Theory and Decision is devoted to all aspects of decision making belonging to such programs, but addresses also possible cross-fertilizations between these disciplines which would represent effective advances in knowledge. The purpose of the journal is to let the engineering of choice gradually emerge both for individual and for collective decision making. Formalized treatments will be favoured, to the extent that they provide new insights into the issues raised and an appropriate modeling of the situation considered. Due to its growing importance, expermentation in decision making as well as its links to the cognitive sciences will be granted special attention by Theory and Decision. Of particular interest are: Preference and belief modeling, Experimental decision making under risk or under uncertainty, Decision analysis, multicriteria decision modeling, Game theory, negotiation theory, collective decision making, social choice, Rationality, cognitive processes and interactive decision making, Methodology of the decision sciences. Applications to various problems in management and organization science, economics and finance, computer-supported decision schemes, will be welcome as long as they bear on sufficiently general cases. Analysis of actual decision making processes are also relevant topics for the journal, whether pertaining to individual, collective or negotiatory approaches; to private decisions or public policies; to operations or to strategic choices. Zeitschrift für Literaturwissenschaft und Linguistik (LiLi) (“Journal for Literary Studies and Linguistics”) has been offering a programmatic bridge between German linguistics and German literary studies since 1971. All issues are published in alternate editions as topical issues of modern literary studies, medieval studies and linguistics, focusing on media and cultural studies and combining theoretical and historical approaches. The Labor (“Laboratory”) section contains research contributions in German or English language that are independent of the respective thematic issue and contribute to the transitional area between Germanic linguistics, German literary studies, and cultural studies. LiLi exclusively publishes research content, peer reviewed by external experts. The editors welcome unsolicited proposals for the "Laboratory" section in German or English language.
