Finite Fields and Their Applications is a peer-reviewed technical journal publishing papers in finite field theory as well as in applications of finite fields. As a result of applications in a wide variety of areas, finite fields are increasingly important in several areas of mathematics, including linear and abstract algebra, number theory and algebraic geometry, as well as in computer science, statistics, information theory, and engineering.
For cohesion, and because so many applications rely on various theoretical properties of finite fields, it is essential that there be a core of high-quality papers on theoretical aspects. In addition, since much of the vitality of the area comes from computational problems, the journal publishes papers on computational aspects of finite fields as well as on algorithms and complexity of finite field-related methods.
The journal also publishes papers in various applications including, but not limited to, algebraic coding theory, cryptology, combinatorial design theory, pseudorandom number generation, and linear recurring sequences. There are other areas of application to be included, but the important point is that finite fields play a nontrivial role in the theory, application, or algorithm.

This journal publishes original research papers on nonlinear hyperbolic problems and related topics, of mathematical and/or physical interest. Specifically, it invites papers on the theory and numerical analysis of hyperbolic conservation laws and of hyperbolic partial differential equations arising in mathematical physics. The Journal welcomes contributions in:
Theory of nonlinear hyperbolic systems of conservation laws, addressing the issues of well-posedness and qualitative behavior of solutions, in one or several space dimensions.
Hyperbolic differential equations of mathematical physics, such as the Einstein equations of general relativity, Dirac equations, Maxwell equations, relativistic fluid models, etc.
Lorentzian geometry, particularly global geometric and causal theoretic aspects of spacetimes satisfying the Einstein equations.
Nonlinear hyperbolic systems arising in continuum physics such as: hyperbolic models of fluid dynamics, mixed models of transonic flows, etc.
General problems that are dominated (but not exclusively driven) by finite speed phenomena, such as dissipative and dispersive perturbations of hyperbolic systems, and models from statistical mechanics and other probabilistic models relevant to the derivation of fluid dynamical equations.
Convergence analysis of numerical methods for hyperbolic equations: finite difference schemes, finite volumes schemes, etc.

Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation ( JSCS ) publishes significant and original work in areas of statistics which are related to or dependent upon the computer.
Fields covered include computer algorithms related to probability or statistics, studies in statistical inference by means of simulation techniques, and implementation of interactive statistical systems.
JSCS does not consider applications of statistics to other fields, except as illustrations of the use of the original statistics presented.
Accepted papers should ideally appeal to a wide audience of statisticians and provoke real applications of theoretical constructions.
Nonlinear Analysis focuses on papers that address significant problems in Nonlinear Analysis that have a sustainable and important impact on the development of new directions in the theory as well as potential applications. Review articles on important topics in Nonlinear Analysis are welcome as well. In particular, only papers within the areas of specialization of the Editorial Board Members will be considered. Authors are encouraged to check the areas of expertise of the Editorial Board in order to decide whether or not their papers are appropriate for this journal. The journal aims to apply very high standards in accepting papers for publication.

Applicable Analysis is concerned primarily with analysis that has application to scientific and engineering problems. Papers should indicate clearly an application of the mathematics involved. On the other hand, papers that are primarily concerned with modeling rather than analysis are outside the scope of the journal
General areas of analysis that are welcomed contain the areas of differential equations, with emphasis on PDEs, and integral equations, nonlinear analysis, applied functional analysis, theoretical numerical analysis and approximation theory. Areas of application, for instance, include the use of homogenization theory for electromagnetic phenomena, acoustic vibrations and other problems with multiple space and time scales, inverse problems for medical imaging and geophysics, variational methods for moving boundary problems, convex analysis for theoretical mechanics and analytical methods for spatial bio-mathematical models.
