The Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education (JOEE) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal devoted to the scholarly examination of issues in outdoor and environmental education. JOEE provides a forum in which outdoor and environmental education professionals from all settings can exchange and discuss ideas and practices relevant to their work.JOEE invites submissions of papers of between 4000 and 8000 words (including reference list and abstract) that focus on enhancing understanding of outdoor and environmental education issues through balanced and in-depth investigation of practices and theories relevant to outdoor and environmental education. Shorter book/document reviews are also welcomed.JOEE does not privilege any particular methodology or theory and welcomes contributions from various standpoints. However, editorial will prioritise papers that take into consideration a broad readership which includes teachers and other practitioners as well as researchers, requiring authors to express and explain evidence and theory using language that is accessible to readers beyond a particular community. With this in mind, we ask authors, on acceptance of their paper, to produce a short video which will be made accessible in order to share the main messages contained in their paper with a wide audience.

Clarivate IF

The Journal of Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an international journal that publishes scholarly original papers concerning Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral hypnosis, and hypnotherapy, clinical and counseling psychology, psychiatry, mental health counseling, and allied areas of science and practice. The journal encourages scholarly debate amongst professionals involved in practice, theory, research, and training in all areas of scholarship relevant to REBT and CBT. The Journal is particularly interested in articles that define clinical practice and research and theoretical articles that have direct clinical applications. The Journal seeks theoretical discussions and literature reviews on the cognitive bases of the development and alleviation of emotional, behavioral, interpersonal, personality, and addictive disorders. We consider submissions on the applications of REBT and CBT to new areas of practice and client populations. The Journal considers the term Cognitive Behavior Therapy to represent a generic, overriding category or school of psychotherapy approaches that includes many different theories and techniques. The journals encourages research that clearly identifies the specific hypothetical constructs and techniques being measured, tested, and discussed, and the comparison of the relative influence of different cognitive processes, constructs, and techniques  on emotional and behavioral disturbance. The Journal provides a timely introduction to unexplored avenues on the cutting edge of REBT and CBT research, theory, and practice. The Journal  publishes:discussions of the philosophical foundations of psychotherapiestheory-buildingtheoretical articlesoriginal outcome research articlesbrief research reportsoriginal research on the support of theoretical models development of scales to assess cognitive and affective constructsresearch reviewsclinical practice reviewsempirically-based case studiesdescriptions of innovative therapeutic techniques and proceduresadvances in clinical trainingliterature reviews book reviewsUnder the guidance of an expanded, international editorial board consisting of acknowledged leaders in the field, the journal disseminates current, valuable information to researchers and practitioners in psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatry, mental health counseling, social work, education, and related fields.Manuscripts usually are less than 35 pages, double-spaced, and using 11 or 12-point font. If the authors need more space to communicate their research or ideas, they should write to the editors to discuss this issue and provide a rationale why more than the commended number of pages is needed.

The journal Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis publishes original, peer-reviewed research articles on engineered materials, which are defined as both processed and inorganic. The journal focuses on the art and science of preparing, interpreting, and analyzing microstructures for the purpose of understanding material behavior and performance, and serves as a forum for engineers and scientists to exchange the latest information regarding the evolution of microstructures in a variety of materials. Topics focus on the role of microstructure in engineering processes and materials properties. Specifically, the journal publishes contributions that discuss the ways in which microstructures can influence, or arise from: 1) Mechanical and thermal processing of metals, alloys, and ceramics  2) Environmental degradation (such as oxidation and corrosion)3) Welding, casting, and solidification processes4) Additive or digital manufacturing techniques 5) Failure of engineering structures, and6) Electronic materials. In addition to these general topics, the journal covers a wide range of more specialized materials science and metallurgy issues, such as the characterization of building materials, archaeometallurgy, high-strain-rate phenomena, tribological surfaces and interfaces, superplasticity, and radiation effects. Also of interest are new and alternative techniques for microstructural examination and analysis (including metallography, ceramography, and microscopy), computer-aided microstructural analysis, and techniques for physical and chemical analysis as they relate to microstructure. Contributions that present a complete treatment of a microstructure, from its formation to preparation techniques to interpretation and analysis, are especially of interest to the journal.

Human Ecology

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0300-7839 / 1572-9915•United States
2
Clarivate IF

The theoretical orientation of Human Ecology emphasizes the problem-solving significance of human culture and behavior, from food procurement to systems defining kinship—not to mention political and religious life. The perspective generally embraced here is that human ecology is part and parcel of the larger field of ecology and not simply analogous to it. Contributions to Human Ecology emphasize the complex ways in which humans shape and in turn are shaped by their environment. Original articles, research reports, and brief communications based on empirical research are welcome from fields as diverse as environmental impact studies, resource or habitat maintenance, health and nutrition, risk management, land use history—to name a few. Disciplines commonly represented include anthropology, biological, life and health sciences, geography, and sociology. The journal is peer reviewed. A book review section appears in each issue.

Acta Politica

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0001-6810 / 1741-1416•United Kingdom
1.9
Clarivate IF

Political Science with an Edge Acta Politica is one of the few truly international political science journals with a broad scope across the discipline. In the past we have published theoretical and empirical articles, comparative and single-country studies and even some methodological notes. In times of an ever-increasing specialisation in political science, we however strongly believe a broad-ranging political science journal is as important as ever for the international scientific community. As Editors, we have a strong preference for articles that will attract a wide audience within the broader field of political science, no matter what the precise topic of the article might be. Despite this broad scope Acta Politica is very selective about the quality of the articles that it publishes. Acta Politica has always been committed to publishing articles with an 'edge'; providing new insights or new approaches in political science. At the end of the review process, we always ask the question: 'What did we learn from this article'' Our aim is to provide an exciting read, whether you are interested in political theory or quantitative research methods. Our goal is to select those articles that bring with them a substantive theoretical background, while demonstrating how these ideas can be used in empirical research. On the other hand, we welcome empirical articles introducing new ways to incorporate or to test theoretical discussions which are highly interesting to our readers. Acta Politica follows a double blind review policy, and our acceptance rate stands at about 35 per cent, ensuring that all the articles we publish meet high academic standards. These standards are, and will remain, our ultimate criteria of judgment for inclusion in the journal. We welcome articles on a broad range of topics, and using a wide array of methods. While in the past most authors publishing in Acta Politica tended to come from Europe, we now also attract more articles from the United States, Canada and the rest of the world. Our aim is to provide authors with substantive feedback within three months of receipt of manuscript. Acta Politica is committed to publishing relevant political science research, and we invite you to share that commitment, either by subscribing to the journal or recommending it to your library, or by considering Acta Politica when choosing a journal to publish your own research. Potential authors are invited to contact the Editors at acta.politica@fsw.leidenuniv.nl with informal enquiries regarding suitability of their manuscript.
