Optics and Laser Technology

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0030-3992•England
5.2
Clarivate IF

Optics & Laser Technology aims to provide a vehicle for the publication of a broad range of high quality research and review papers in those fields of scientific and engineering research appertaining to the development and application of the technology of optics and lasers. Papers describing original work in these areas are submitted to rigorous refereeing prior to acceptance for publication. The scope of Optics & Laser Technology encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following areas: •development in all types of lasers •developments in optoelectronic devices and photonics •developments in new photonics and optical concepts •developments in conventional optics, optical instruments and components •techniques of optical metrology, including interferometry and optical fibre sensors •LIDAR and other non-contact optical measurement techniques, including optical methods in heat and fluid flow •applications of lasers to materials processing, optical NDT display (including holography) and optical communication •research and development in the field of laser safety including studies of hazards resulting from the applications of lasers (laser safety, hazards of laser fume) •developments in optical computing and optical information processing •developments in new optical materials •developments in new optical characterization methods and techniques •developments in quantum optics •developments in light assisted micro and nanofabrication methods and techniques •developments in nanophotonics and biophotonics •developments in imaging processing and systems

Optics and Lasers in Engineering

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0143-8166•England
4.2
Clarivate IF

Optics and Lasers in Engineering aims at providing an international forum for the interchange of information on the development of optical techniques and laser technology in engineering. Emphasis is placed on contributions targeted at the practical use of methods and devices, the development and enhancement of solutions and new theoretical concepts for experimental methods. Optics and Lasers in Engineering reflects the main areas in which optical methods are being used and developed for an engineering environment. Manuscripts should offer clear evidence of novelty and significance. Papers focusing on parameter optimization or computational issues are not suitable. Similarly, papers focussed on an application rather than the optical method fall outside the journal's scope. The scope of the journal is defined to include the following: -Optical Metrology- Optical Methods for 3D visualization and virtual engineering- Optical Techniques for Microsystems- Imaging, Microscopy and Adaptive Optics- Computational Imaging- Laser methods in manufacturing- Integrated optical and photonic sensors- Optics and Photonics in Life Science- Hyperspectral and spectroscopic methods- Infrared and Terahertz techniques

Journal of Luminescence

Elsevier•ISSN: 0022-2313•Netherlands
3.8
Clarivate IF

The purpose of the Journal of Luminescence is to provide a means of communication between scientists in different disciplines who share a common interest in the electronic excited states of molecular, ionic and covalent systems, whether crystalline, amorphous, or liquid. We invite original papers and reviews on such subjects as: exciton and polariton dynamics, dynamics of localized excited states, energy and charge transport in ordered and disordered systems, radiative and non-radiative recombination, relaxation processes, vibronic interactions in electronic excited states, photochemistry in condensed systems, excited state resonance, double resonance, spin dynamics, selective excitation spectroscopy, hole burning, coherent processes in excited states, (e.g. coherent optical transients, photon echoes, transient gratings), multiphoton processes, optical bistability, photochromism, and new techniques for the study of excited states. This list is not intended to be exhaustive. Papers in the traditional areas of optical spectroscopy (absorption, MCD, luminescence, Raman scattering) are welcome. Papers on applications (phosphors, scintillators, electro- and cathodo-luminescence, radiography, bioimaging, solar energy, energy conversion, etc.) are also welcome if they present results of scientific, rather than only technological interest. However, papers containing purely theoretical results, not related to phenomena in the excited states, as well as papers using luminescence spectroscopy to perform routine analytical chemistry or biochemistry procedures, are outside the scope of the journal. Some exceptions will be possible at the discretion of the editors.
