Surface Science Reports

Elsevier•ISSN: 0167-5729 / 1879-274X•Netherlands
11.6
Clarivate IF

Surface Science Reports contains invited review papers on experimental and theoretical studies in the physics, chemistry and pioneering applications of surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures. It covers topics which contribute to a better understanding of basic phenomena occurring on surfaces and interfaces, but also the application of this knowledge to the development of materials, processes and devices. "Surfaces" is defined in this journal to include all interfaces between solids, liquids, polymers, biomaterials, nanostructures, soft matter, gases and/or vacuum. The journal also contains reviews of experimental techniques and methods used to characterize surfaces and surface processes, e.g. those based upon the interactions of photons, electrons and ions with surfaces.

Clarivate IF

Current Opinion in Colloid and Interface Science (COCIS) is an international journal focused on the science related to interfaces and on the behavior of colloids and amphiphiles (surfactants, polar lipids, polymers and biopolymers) in solution. The journal also encompasses molecular and nanoscopic aspects of materials science, industrial applications of colloids, and biologically-relevant systems. COCIS is not a primary journal; rather it seeks to guide the researcher through the maze of current published literature, and to highlight areas and papers which, in the opinion of the reviewers, are of special interest and significance. Topics covered include: Theories and Simulations, Microscopy Methods, NMR, X-ray and Neutron Scattering, Surface Analysis Techniques, Emulsions and Microemulsions, Liquid Crystals, Thin Films and Foams, Polyelectrolytes, Reactivity in Colloidal Systems and at Interfaces, Surfactants, Food Colloids, Biological Colloids and Interfaces, Colloidal Dispersions, Self Assembly, Drug Delivery, Electrokinetics, Rheology, and, Wetting and Spreading.

Clarivate IF

The Current Opinion journals were developed out of the recognition that it is increasingly difficult for specialists to keep up to date with the expanding volume of information published in their field. In Current Opinion in Electrochemistry, we help the reader by providing in a systematic manner: 1. The views of experts on current advances in electrochemistry in a clear and readable form. 2. Evaluations of the most interesting papers, annotated by experts, from the great wealth of original publications.

Surfaces and Interfaces

Elsevier•ISSN: 2468-0230•Netherlands
6
Clarivate IF

The aim of the journal is to provide a respectful outlet for 'sound science' papers in all research areas on surfaces and interfaces. We define sound science papers as papers that describe new and well-executed research, but that do not necessarily provide brand new insights or are merely a description of research results. Surfaces and Interfaces publishes research papers in all fields of surface science which may not always find the right home on first submission to our Elsevier sister journals (Applied Surface, Surface and Coatings Technology, Thin Solid Films)

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry

Elsevier BV•ISSN: 1572-6657•Switzerland
4.6
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry is the foremost international journal devoted to the interdisciplinary subject of electrochemistry in all its aspects, theoretical as well as applied. Electrochemistry is a wide ranging area that is in a state of continuous evolution. Rather than compiling a long list of topics covered by the Journal, the editors would like to draw particular attention to the key issues of novelty, topicality and quality. Papers should present new and interesting electrochemical science in a way that is accessible to the reader. The presentation and discussion should be at a level that is consistent with the international status of the Journal. Reports describing the application of well-established techniques to problems that are essentially technical will not be accepted. Similarly, papers that report observations but fail to provide adequate interpretation will be rejected by the Editors. Papers dealing with technical electrochemistry should be submitted to other specialist journals unless the authors can show that their work provides substantially new insights into electrochemical processes.
