This includes ion beam analysis and ion beam modification of materials as well as basic data of importance for these studies. Topics of general interest include: atomic collisions in solids, particle channelling, all aspects of collision cascades, the modification of materials by energetic beams, ion implantation, irradiation - induced changes in materials, the physics and chemistry of beam interactions and the analysis of materials by all forms of energetic radiation. Modification by ion, laser and electron beams for the study of electronic materials, metals, ceramics, insulators, polymers and other important and new materials systems are included. Related studies, such as the application of ion beam analysis to biological, archaeological and geological samples as well as applications to solve problems in planetary science are also welcome. Energetic beams of interest include atomic and molecular ions, neutrons, positrons and muons, plasmas directed at surfaces, electron and photon beams, including laser treated surfaces and studies of solids by photon radiation from rotating anodes, synchrotrons, etc. In addition, the interaction between various forms of radiation and radiation-induced deposition processes are relevant.

Elsevier•ISSN: 0921-4534•Netherlands
1.5
Clarivate IF

Physica C (Superconductivity and its Applications) publishes peer-reviewed papers on novel developments in the field of superconductivity. Topics include discovery of new superconducting materials and elucidation of their mechanisms, physics of vortex matter, enhancement of critical properties of superconductors, identification of novel properties and processing methods that improve their performance and promote new routes to applications of superconductivity. The main goal of the journal is to publish: 1. Papers that substantially increase the understanding of the fundamental aspects and mechanisms of superconductivity and vortex matter through theoretical and experimental methods. 2. Papers that report on novel physical properties and processing of materials that substantially enhance their critical performance. 3. Papers that promote new or improved routes to applications of superconductivity and/or superconducting materials, and proof-of-concept novel proto-type superconducting devices. The editors of the journal will select papers that are well written and based on thorough research that provide truly novel insights.

High Energy Density Physics

Elsevier•ISSN: 1574-1818•Netherlands
1.4
Clarivate IF

High Energy Density Physics is an international journal covering original experimental and related theoretical work studying the physics of matter and radiation under extreme conditions. 'High energy density' is understood to be an energy density exceeding about 1011 J/m3. The editors and the publisher are committed to provide this fast-growing community with a dedicated high quality channel to distribute their original findings. Papers suitable for publication in this journal cover topics in both the warm and hot dense matter regimes, such as laboratory studies relevant to non-LTE kinetics at extreme conditions, planetary interiors, astrophysical phenomena, inertial fusion and includes studies of, for example, material properties and both stable and unstable hydrodynamics. Developments in associated theoretical areas, for example the modelling of strongly coupled, partially degenerate and relativistic plasmas, are also covered.

Reports on Mathematical Physics

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0034-4877•Poland
1
Clarivate IF

Reports on Mathematical Physics publish papers in theoretical physics which present a rigorous mathematical approach to problems of quantum and classical mechanics and field theories, relativity and gravitation, statistical physics, thermodynamics, mathematical foundations of physical theories, etc. Preferred are papers using modern methods of functional analysis, probability theory, differential geometry, algebra and mathematical logic. Papers without direct connection with physics will not be accepted. Manuscripts should be concise, but possibly complete in presentation and discussion, to be comprehensible not only for mathematicians, but also for mathematically oriented theoretical physicists. All papers should describe original work and be written in English.
