Journal of International Entrepreneurship

Competition in international markets was traditionally the realm of large companies, with smaller firms tending to remain local or regional. Internationalisation was an expansion option of interest to some enterprises, but seldom was it a competitive necessity. Many opted to avoid the uncertainties of competing in foreign markets, and simply kept their firms small and local. Traditional internationalisation theories, therefore, focused mainly on large multinational corporations, and were less pertinent to smaller firms. With the liberalisation of trade, however, domestic firms are threatened by international competitors that are penetrating formerly protected markets. Nowadays, internationalisation affects everyone, whether or not they wish to internationalise themselves. The threats and opportunities of internationalisation must be addressed. Globalisation is transforming the competitive environment of small and large players alike. As a result, internationalisation issues will continue to be increasingly important to business. Public policy agendas already include programmes to help entrepreneurs become successful at internationalisation. There is a growing need to understand internationalisation in the context of entrepreneurship, as well as large multinationals. Knowledge of how, when and why firms internationalise - either incrementally or not - will surely be the focus of energetic researchers. Yet, up to now, academia has been lacking a journal dedicated to internationalisation issues. To fill this niche, the aforementioned editorial team wishes to offer an outlet for high-quality research addressing the opportunities and challenges intrinsic to internationalisation. The primary audience for this journal will be researchers of entrepreneurship and international business. In addition, readership is certain to include business-people and policy-makers. The editors invite submissions that analyse internationalisation, combining theore tical and empirical work. Researchers will be encouraged to conduct comparative studies, and to evaluate competing theories. The composition of the editorial team - including experts in international business and experts in entrepreneurship - is designed to avoid editorial bias. Every effort will be made to reach a first decision about a submission, within sixty days. Officially cited as: J Int Entrep

JOURNAL OF CONSUMER POLICY

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0168-7034 / 1573-0700•Germany
2.3
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Consumer Policy is a refereed, international journal which encompasses a broad range of issues concerned with consumer affairs. It looks at the consumer's dependence on existing social and economic structures, helps to define the consumer's interest, and discusses the ways in which consumer welfare can be fostered - or restrained - through actions and policies of consumers, industry, organizations, government, educational institutions, and the mass media. The Journal of Consumer Policy publishes theoretical and empirical research on consumer and producer conduct, emphasizing the implications for consumers and increasing communication between the parties in the marketplace. Articles cover consumer issues in law, economics, and behavioural sciences. Current areas of topical interest include the impact of new information technologies, the economics of information, the consequences of regulation or deregulation of markets, problems related to an increasing internationalization of trade and marketing practices, consumers in less affluent societies, the efficacy of economic cooperation, consumers and the environment, problems with products and services provided by the public sector, the setting of priorities by consumer organizations and agencies, gender issues, product safety and product liability, and the interaction between consumption and associated forms of behaviour such as work and leisure. The Journal of Consumer Policy reports regularly on developments in legal policy with a bearing on consumer issues. It covers the integration of consumer law in the European Union and other transnational communities and analyzes trends in the application and implementation of consumer legislation through administrative agencies, courts, trade associations, and consumer organizations. It also considers the impact of consumer legislation on the supply side and discusses comparative legal approaches to issues of cons umer policy in different parts of the world. The Journal of Consumer Policy informs readers about a broad array of consumer policy issues by publishing regularly both extended book reviews and brief, non-evaluative book notes on new publications in the field. Journal of Industry Competition & Trade

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1566-1679 / 1573-7012•Netherlands
2.1
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade (JICT) publishes research on the microeconomic foundations of industrial strategy, innovation, competition, and trade policy, concentrating on the functioning of markets for goods and services. The journal’s primary aim is to bridge the gaps between economic theory, empirical analysis and economic policy, and to provide a forum for applied theoretical research on policy questions. Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade promotes the combination of theories with facts, and encourages the incorporation of facts into model building. focuses on using applied theoretical research to arrive at policy conclusions, and encourages researchers to investigate policy questions. For example, game theoretical models that analyse the sources of and obstacles to innovation, the functioning of markets or strategic interactions are combined with empirical facts; and supporting empirical analysis is provided for models that explain how institutions, consumers and firms interact, how they shape their environment, and how incentives influence behaviour. Papers that analyse institutions and policy measures are expected to make explicit reference to theoretical models, while theoretical work is expected to include the analysis of empirical implications.   The journal serves as a forum for dialogue between economists from academia and (national or international) policy circles. The composition of the Editorial Board, which includes academics as well as leading economists working at governmental and international organizations, facilitates exchanges between academia and economic policy. European Actuarial Journal

Springer Nature•ISSN: 2190-9733 / 2190-9741•Switzerland
1.7
Clarivate IF

Actuarial science and actuarial finance deal with the study, modeling and managing of insurance and related financial risks for which stochastic models and statistical methods are available. Topics include classical actuarial mathematics such as life and non-life insurance, pension funds, reinsurance, and also more recent areas of interest such as risk management, asset-and-liability management, solvency, catastrophe modeling, systematic changes in risk parameters, longevity, etc. EAJ is designed for the promotion and development of actuarial science and actuarial finance. For this, we publish original actuarial research papers, either theoretical or applied, with innovative applications, as well as case studies on the evaluation and implementation of new mathematical methods in insurance and actuarial finance. We also welcome survey papers on topics of recent interest in the field. EAJ is the successor of six national actuarial journals, and particularly focuses on links between actuarial theory and practice. In order to serve as a platform for this exchange, we also welcome discussions (typically from practitioners, with a length of 1-3 pages) on published papers that highlight the application aspects of the discussed paper. Such discussions can also suggest modifications of the studied problem which are of particular interest to actuarial practice. Thus, they can serve as motivation for further studies. Finally, EAJ now also publishes ‘Letters’, which are short papers (up to 5 pages) that have academic and/or practical relevance and consist of e.g. an interesting idea, insight, clarification or observation of a cross-connection that deserves publication, but is shorter than a usual research article. A detailed description or proposition of a new relevant research question, short but curious mathematical results that deserve the attention of the actuarial community as well as novel applications of mathematical and actuarial concepts are equally welcome. Letter submissions will be reviewed within 6 weeks, so that they provide an opportunity to get good and pertinent ideas published quickly, while the same refereeing standards as for other submissions apply. Both academics and practitioners are encouraged to contribute to this new format. Authors are invited to submit their papers online via http://euaj.edmgr.com.
