The CEAS Space Journal has been created by the CEAS Space Branch to provide an appropriate platform for the excellent scientific publications submitted by scientists and engineers. Under the umbrella of CEAS, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA) support the Journal. The Journal is devoted to new developments and results in all areas of space-related science and technology, including important spin-off capabilities and applications as well as ground-based support systems and manufacturing advancements. Of interest are also (invited) in-depth reviews of the status of development in specific areas of relevance to space, and descriptions of the potential way forward. Typical disciplines of interest include mission design and space systems, satellite communications, aerothermodynamics (including physical fluid dynamics), environmental control and life support systems, materials, operations, space debris, optics, optoelectronics and photonics, guidance, navigation and control, mechanisms, propulsion, power, robotics, structures, testing and thermal issues and small satellites. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed original articles, (invited) reviews and short communications.
Original articles are welcomed on topics such as engineering behaviour of soils and rocks, foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, soil dynamics, geotechnical investigations, rock engineering, geotechnical earthquake engineering, geo-environmental engineering, geosynthetics, constitutive modeling of geomaterials, numerical modeling, and reliability analysis in geotechnical engineering, . Authors are also encouraged to submit papers on new and emerging topics like railway geotechnical engineering and forensic geotechnical engineering. The Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention (JFAP) is written for and read by individuals involved in failure analysis, materials scientists, and mechanical, manufacturing, aeronautical, civil, chemical, corrosion, and design engineers. The publication is unique in that it contains current news and technical articles, as well as archival peer-reviewed papers and reviews. JFAP provides information gathering techniques, technical analysis, and emerging tools that will assist failure analysis professionals in determining the cause of failures and eliminating failures in the future. Articles demonstrate the importance of failure analysis to product/performance improvements and industrial problem solving. JFAP is intended to be of interest to both the experienced and less experienced failure analysis practitioner with a focus on shared interest across the industries.Bi-monthly periodical for the failure analyst. Provides practical information for determining the cause of failures and eliminating future failures. Highlights information-gathering techniques, technical analysis and emerging tools to assist the future analyst. Peer-reviewed articles demonstrate the important of failure analysis, product/performance improvement and industrial problem solving. Written for the experienced and less experienced failure analysis practitioner.
This Journal is established with a view to cater to increased awareness for high quality research in the seamless integration of heterogeneous technologies to formulate bankable solutions to the emergent complex engineering problems. Assurance engineering could be thought of as relating to the provision of higher confidence in the reliable and secure implementation of a system’s critical characteristic features through the espousal of a holistic approach by using a wide variety of cross disciplinary tools and techniques. Successful realization of sustainable and dependable products, systems and services involves an extensive adoption of Reliability, Quality, Safety and Risk related procedures for achieving high assurancelevels of performance; also pivotal are the management issues related to risk and uncertainty that govern the practical constraints encountered in their deployment. It is our intention to provide a platform for the modeling and analysis of large engineering systems, among the other aforementioned allied goals of systems assurance engineering, leading to the enforcement of performance enhancement measures. Achieving a fine balance between theory and practice is the primary focus. The Journal only publishes high quality papers that have passed the rigorous peer review procedure of an archival scientific Journal. The aim is an increasing number of submissions, wide circulation and a high impact factor.
