Zoologica Scripta

Wiley-Blackwell Publishing Ltd•ISSN: 0300-3256 / 1463-6409•England
2
Clarivate IF

Zoologica Scripta publishes papers in animal systematics and phylogeny, i.e. studies of evolutionary relationships among taxa, and the origin and evolution of biological diversity. Papers can also deal with ecological interactions and geographic distributions (phylogeography) if the results are placed in a wider phylogenetic/systematic/evolutionary context. Zoologica Scripta encourages papers on the development of methods for all aspects of phylogenetic inference and biological nomenclature/classification. Articles published in Zoologica Scripta must be original and present either theoretical or empirical studies of interest to a broad audience in systematics and phylogeny. Purely taxonomic papers, like species descriptions without being placed in a wider systematic/phylogenetic context, will not be considered.

Journal of Wildlife Management

Wiley-Blackwell•ISSN: 0022-541X / 1937-2817•United States
1.9
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Wildlife Management publishes manuscripts containing information from original research that contributes to basic wildlife science. Suitable topics include investigations into the biology and ecology of wildlife and their habitats that has direct or indirect implications for wildlife management and conservation. This includes basic information on wildlife habitat use, reproduction, genetics, demographics, viability, predator-prey relationships, space-use, movements, behavior, and physiology; but within the context of contemporary management and conservation issues such that the knowledge may ultimately be useful to wildlife practitioners. Also considered are theoretical and conceptual aspects of wildlife science, including development of new approaches to quantitative analyses, modeling of wildlife populations and habitats, and other topics that are germane to advancing wildlife science. Limited reviews or meta analyses will be considered if they provide a meaningful new synthesis or perspective on an appropriate subject. Direct evaluation of management practices or policies should be sent to the Wildlife Society Bulletin, as should papers reporting new tools or techniques. However, papers that report new tools or techniques, or effects of management practices, within the context of a broader study investigating basic wildlife biology and ecology will be considered by The Journal of Wildlife Management. Book reviews of relevant topics in basic wildlife research and biology.

Ethology

Wiley-Blackwell Publishing Ltd•ISSN: 0179-1613 / 1439-0310•Germany
1.3
Clarivate IF

International in scope, Ethology publishes original research on behaviour including physiological mechanisms, function, and evolution. The Journal addresses behaviour in all species, from slime moulds to humans. Experimental research is preferred, both from the field and the lab, which is grounded in a theoretical framework. The section 'Perspectives and Current Debates' provides an overview of the field and may include theoretical investigations and essays on controversial topics.

0.8
Clarivate IF

Invertebrate Biology presents fundamental advances in our understanding of the structure, function, ecology, and evolution of the invertebrates, which represent the vast majority of animal diversity. Though ultimately organismal in focus, the journal publishes manuscripts addressing phenomena at all levels of biological organization. Invertebrate Biology welcomes manuscripts addressing the biology of invertebrates from diverse perspectives, including those of: • genetics, cell, and molecular biology • morphology and biomechanics • reproduction and development • physiology and behavior • ecology • evolution and phylogenetics
