Cement & Concrete Composites

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0958-9465•England
14.4
Clarivate IF

This journal is designed to reflect current developments and advances being made in the general field of cement-concrete composites technology and in the production, use, and performance of cement-based construction materials. The word cement is interpreted in a wide sense, including not only Portland cement but also blended cements and other binding materials. In addition to novel aspects of conventional concrete materials, the journal covers a wide range of composite materials such as fiber-reinforced cement composites, polymer cement composites, polymer impregnated composites, ferrocement, and cement composites containing special aggregate inclusions or waste materials. Original papers dealing with microstructure (as it relates to engineering properties), material properties, testing and test methods, fracture mechanics, durability aspects, composite mechanics/technology, modelling, design, fabrication and practical applications of these materials form the major themes of the journal. Provided there is sufficient linkage to properties defined at the material scale, papers concerning the behavior of structural components and systems, in situ performance, and field studies will also be accepted for review, as well as those concerning the repair and maintenance, serviceability behavior, and sustainability of structures made with these materials.

Clarivate IF

The aim of Composites Part B: Engineering is to provide a balance between mechanics and materials science aspects, basic and applied research, and high technology and high volume (low cost) composite development. The Journal aims to provide a forum for the prompt publication of original research on all areas of composites and nano-engineered materials, with emphasis being placed on evaluation and modelling of engineering details and concepts. Basic research papers are welcomed as well as proposals for review articles. Authors are encouraged to discuss the issues relative to application in the short or long-term in various areas, such as aerospace, automotive and other surface transportation, infrastructure, ship-building, off-shore piping, and recreational products. Current topics of interest to readers include durability, functionally gradient materials, interfaces, interlaminar fracture, joints and adhesion, smart composites, textile composites, thermoplastics, wave propagation, and non-destructive testing.

Composites Science and Technology

Elsevier BV•ISSN: 0266-3538•England
9.9
Clarivate IF

Composites Science and Technology publishes refereed original articles on the fundamental and applied science of engineering composites. The focus of this journal is on polymeric matrix composites with reinforcements/fillers ranging from nano- to macro-scale. CSTE encourages manuscripts reporting unique, innovative contributions to the physics, chemistry, materials science and applied mechanics aspects of advanced composites. Besides traditional fiber reinforced composites, novel composites with significant potential for engineering applications are encouraged. These may include, but are not limited to, nanocomposites, biomedical composites, green/eco composites, energy composites, and composites mimicking natural materials. Manuscripts dealing with multi-scale and multi-functional issues and performance as well as interdisciplinary approaches to the study of new generation composite materials are welcome. Analytical work should be validated. Publication of manuscripts reporting routine processing, synthesis and property characterization are not a priority of CSTE.

Composites Part A-Applied Science and Manufacturing

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 1359-835X•England
8.2
Clarivate IF

Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing publishes original research papers, review articles, case studies, short communications and letters from a wide variety of sources dealing with all aspects of the science and technology of composite materials, including fibrous and particulate reinforcements in polymeric, metallic and ceramic matrices, and 'natural' composites such as wood and biological materials. The range of applicable topics includes the properties, design and manufacture of reinforcing fibers and particles, novel architectures and concepts, multifunctional composites, advances in fabrication and processing of composite materials and structures, manufacturing science, process modelling, experimental mechanics, microstructural characterization of composites and their constituent phases, interfaces in composites, new approaches to prediction and measurement of mechanical, physical and chemical behaviour, and performance of composites in service. Articles are also welcomed on economic and commercial aspects of the applications of composites, design with composites and case studies. All articles are subject to rigorous peer review to ensure they make an important and novel contribution, and a high standard is set for both content and presentation. The Editors aim to conduct the review procedure with the minimum of delay so that prompt publication ensues.

Composite Structures

Elsevier BV•ISSN: 0263-8223•England
7.8
Clarivate IF

The past few decades have seen outstanding advances in the use of composite materials in structural applications. There can be little doubt that, within engineering circles, composites have revolutionised traditional design concepts and made possible an unparalleled range of new and exciting possibilities as viable materials for construction. Composite Structures, an International Journal, disseminates knowledge between users, manufacturers, designers and researchers involved in structures or structural components manufactured using composite materials. The journal publishes papers which contribute to knowledge in the use of composite materials in engineering structures. Papers deal with design, research and development studies, experimental investigations, theoretical analysis and fabrication techniques relevant to the application of composites in load-bearing components for assemblies, ranging from individual components such as plates and shells to complete composite structures.

Journal of Composites for Construction

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)•ISSN: 1090-0268 / 1943-5614•United States
4
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Composites for Construction publishes original research papers, review papers, and case studies dealing with the use of fiber-reinforced composite materials in construction. Of special interest to the Journal are papers that bridge the gap between research in the mechanics and manufacturing science of composite materials and the analysis and design of large civil engineering structural systems and their construction processes. The Journal publishes papers about composite materials consisting of continuous synthetic fibers and matrices for use in civil engineering structures and subjected to the loadings and environments of the infrastructure. The Journal publishes papers about composite materials in stand-alone forms (e.g., structural shapes) or used in conjunction with traditional construction materials such as concrete, masonry, metals and timber, either as reinforcing members or in hybrid systems, for both new construction and for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. The Journal also publishes papers about codes and standards related to fiber-reinforced composites for construction.
