Mobile DNA is an online, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes articles providing novel insights into DNA rearrangements in all organisms, ranging from transposition and other types of recombination mechanisms to patterns and processes of mobile element and host genome evolution. In addition, the journal will consider articles on the utility of mobile genetic elements in biotechnological methods and protocols.

Human Genomics is a peer-reviewed, open access, online journal that focuses on the application of genomic analysis in all aspects of human health and disease, as well as genomic analysis of drug efficacy and safety, and comparative genomics. Topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to: pharmacogenomics, genome-wide association studies, genome-wide sequencing, exome sequencing, next-generation deep-sequencing, functional genomics, epigenomics, translational genomics, expression profiling, proteomics, bioinformatics, animal models, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, human population genetics and comparative genomics.
About the journal Genome Biology and Evolution (GBE) publishes leading original research at the interface between evolutionary biology and genomics. Papers considered for publication report novel evolutionary findings that concern natural genome diversity, population genomics, the structure, function, organisation and expression of genomes, comparative genomics, proteomics, and environmental genomic interactions. Major evolutionary insights from the fields of computational biology, structural biology, developmental biology, and cell biology are also considered, as are theoretical advances in the field of genome evolution. GBE’s scope embraces genome-wide evolutionary investigations at all taxonomic levels and for all forms of life — within populations or across domains. Its aims are to further the understanding of genomes in their evolutionary context and further the understanding of evolution from a genome-wide perspective.
Briefings in Functional Genomics publishes high quality peer reviewed articles that focus on the use, development or exploitation of genomic approaches, and their application to all areas of biological research. As well as exploring thematic areas where these techniques and protocols are being used, articles review the impact that these approaches have had, or are likely to have, on their field. Subjects covered by the Journal include but are not restricted to: the identification and functional characterisation of coding and non-coding features in genomes, microarray technologies, gene expression profiling, next generation sequencing, pharmacogenomics, phenomics, SNP technologies, transgenic systems, mutation screens and genotyping. Articles range in scope and depth from the introductory level to specific details of protocols and analyses, encompassing bacterial, fungal, plant, animal and human data. The editorial board welcome the submission of review articles for publication. Essential criteria for the publication of papers is that they do not contain primary data, and that they are high quality, clearly written review articles which provide a balanced, highly informative and up to date perspective to researchers in the field of functional genomics.
Epigenomics provides the forum to address the rapidly progressing research developments in this ever-expanding field; to report on the major challenges ahead and critical advances that are propelling the science forward. The journal delivers this information in concise, at-a-glance article formats – invaluable to a time constrained community. Substantial developments in our current knowledge and understanding of genomics and epigenetics are constantly being made, yet this field is still in its infancy. Epigenomics provides a critical overview of the latest and most significant advances as they unfold and explores their potential application in the clinical setting.
Genes (ISSN 2073-4425) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to genes, genetics and genomics. It publishes reviews, research articles, communications and technical notes. There is no restriction on the length of the papers and we encourage scientists to publish their results in as much detail as possible.
As of January 2000, Developmental Genetics was renamed and relaunched as genesis: The Journal of Genetics and Development, with a new scope and Editorial Board. The journal focuses on work that addresses the genetics of development and the fundamental mechanisms of embryological processes in animals and plants. With increased awareness of the interplay between genetics and evolutionary change, particularly during developmental processes, we encourage submission of manuscripts from all ecological niches. The expanded numbers of genomes for which sequencing is being completed will facilitate genetic and genomic examination of developmental issues, even if the model system does not fit the “classical genetic” mold. Therefore, we encourage submission of manuscripts from all species. Other areas of particular interest include: 1) the roles of epigenetics, microRNAs and environment on developmental processes; 2) genome-wide studies; 3) novel imaging techniques for the study of gene expression and cellular function; 4) comparative genetics and genomics and 5) animal models of human genetic and developmental disorders. genesis presents reviews, full research articles, short research letters, and state-of-the-art technology reports that promote an understanding of the function of genes and the roles they play in complex developmental processes.
Cancer Genomics & Proteomics (CGP) is an international peer-reviewed journal designed to publish rapidly high quality articles and reviews on the application of genomic and proteomic technology to basic, experimental and clinical cancer research. In this site you may find information concerning the editorial board, editorial policy, issue contents, subscriptions, submission of manuscripts and advertising. The first issue of CGP circulated in January 2004. Cancer Genomics & Proteomics is a journal of the International Institute of Anticancer Research. From January 2013 CGP is converted to an online-only open access journal. Cancer Genomics & Proteomics supports (a) the aims and the research projects of the INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ANTICANCER RESEARCH and (b) the organization of the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES OF ANTICANCER RESEARCH.
G3: Genes, Genomes, Genetics provides a forum for the publication of high‐quality foundational research, particularly research that generates useful genetic and genomic information such as genome maps, single gene studies, genome‐wide association and QTL studies, as well as genome reports, mutant screens, and advances in methods and technology. The Editorial Board of G3 believes that rapid dissemination of these data is the necessary foundation for analysis that leads to mechanistic insights. G3, published by the Genetics Society of America, meets the critical and growing need of the genetics community for rapid review and publication of important results in all areas of genetics. G3 offers the opportunity to publish the puzzling finding or to present unpublished results that may not have been submitted for review and publication due to a perceived lack of a potential high-impact finding. G3 has earned the DOAJ Seal, which is a mark of certification for open access journals, awarded by DOAJ to journals that achieve a high level of openness, adhere to Best Practice and high publishing standards.
