Archives of Budo is an international peer reviewed journal publishing articles on various aspects of the sports sciences covering education and research in martial arts and combat sports, and related areas like biomechanics, kinesiology, medicine, psychology, sociology, technologies of sports equipment, research in training, selection, performance, survival, and other interdisciplinary perspectives. Archives of Budo editors endorse the principles embodied in the Helsinki Declaration and expect that all research involving humans has been performed in accordance with these principles. All human studies must have been approved by the investigator's Institutional Review Board. A copy of the relevant documentation should be included with the manuscript. Furthermore Archives of Budo follows the ICMJE's Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma is devoted exclusively to the diagnosis and management of hard and soft tissue trauma, including injuries to bone, muscle, ligament, and tendons, as well as spinal cord injuries. Under the guidance of a distinguished international board of editors, the journal provides the most current information on diagnostic techniques, new and improved surgical instruments and procedures, surgical implants and prosthetic devices, bioplastics and biometals; and physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Topics covered include acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and pain, neurologic conditions involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, rehabilitation of impairments associated with disabilities in adults and children, and neurophysiology and electrodiagnosis. The journal publishes original articles (main articles, brief communications, reviews), which are subjected to a double-blind peer review process, as well as reviewed essays, commentaries and discussion papers on relevant topics related to sport and exercise research. Sports Engineering is an international journal publishing original papers on the application of engineering and science to sport. The journal intends to fill the niche area which lies between classical engineering and sports science and aims to bridge the gap between the analysis of the equipment and of the athlete. Areas of interest include the mechanics and dynamics of sport, the analysis of movement, instrumentation, equipment design, surface interaction, materials and modelling.
