Quantitative Biology is an interdisciplinary journal that focuses on original research that uses quantitative approaches and technologies to analyze and integrate biological systems, construct and model engineered life systems, and gain a deeper understanding of the life sciences. It aims to provide a platform for not only the analysis but also the integration and construction of biological systems. It is a quarterly journal seeking to provide an inter- and multi-disciplinary forum for a broad blend of peer-reviewed academic papers in order to promote rapid communication and exchange between scientists in the East and the West. The content of Quantitative Biology will mainly focus on the two broad and related areas: ·bioinformatics and computational biology, which focuses on dealing with information technologies and computational methodologies that can efficiently and accurately manipulate –omics data and transform molecular information into biological knowledge. ·systems and synthetic biology, which focuses on complex interactions in biological systems and the emergent functional properties, and on the design and construction of new biological functions and systems. Its goal is to reflect the significant advances made in quantitatively investigating and modeling both natural and engineered life systems at the molecular and higher levels. The journal particularly encourages original papers that link novel theory with cutting-edge experiments, especially in the newly emerging and multi-disciplinary areas of research. The journal also welcomes high-quality reviews and perspective articles.

IET Systems Biology

Wiley•ISSN: 1751-8849 / 1751-8857•England
1.9
Clarivate IF

IET Systems Biology covers intra- and inter-cellular dynamics, using systems- and signal-oriented approaches. Papers that analyse genomic data in order to identify variables and basic relationships between them are considered if the results provide a basis for mathematical modelling and simulation of cellular dynamics. Manuscripts on molecular and cell biological studies are encouraged if the aim is a systems approach to dynamic interactions within and between cells. The scope includes the following topics: Genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, cells, tissue and the physiome; molecular and cellular interaction, gene, cell and protein function; networks and pathways; metabolism and cell signalling; dynamics, regulation and control; systems, signals, and information; experimental data analysis; mathematical modelling, simulation and theoretical analysis; biological modelling, simulation, prediction and control; methodologies, databases, tools and algorithms for modelling and simulation; modelling, analysis and control of biological networks; synthetic biology and bioengineering based on systems biology.

International Journal of Biostatistics

Walter de Gruyter GmbH•ISSN: 2194-573X / 1557-4679•United States

Clarivate IF

The International Journal of Biostatistics (IJB) seeks to publish new biostatistical models and methods, new statistical theory, as well as original applications of statistical methods, for important practical problems arising from the biological, medical, public health, and agricultural sciences with an emphasis on semiparametric methods. Given many alternatives to publish exist within biostatistics, IJB offers a place to publish for research in biostatistics focusing on modern methods, often based on machine-learning and other data-adaptive methodologies, as well as providing a unique reading experience that compels the author to be explicit about the statistical inference problem addressed by the paper. IJB is intended that the journal cover the entire range of biostatistics, from theoretical advances to relevant and sensible translations of a practical problem into a statistical framework. Electronic publication also allows for data and software code to be appended, and opens the door for reproducible research allowing readers to easily replicate analyses described in a paper. Both original research and review articles will be warmly received, as will articles applying sound statistical methods to practical problems.

Clarivate IF

The Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena (MMNP) is an international research journal, which publishes top-level original and review papers, short communications and proceedings on mathematical modelling in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, and other areas. The scope of the journal is devoted to mathematical modelling with sufficiently advanced model, and the works studying mainly the existence and stability of stationary points of ODE systems are not considered. The scope of the journal also includes applied mathematics and mathematical analysis in the context of its applications to the real world problems. The journal is essentially functioning on the basis of topical issues representing active areas of research. Each topical issue has its own editorial board. The authors are invited to submit papers to the announced issues or to suggest new issues. Journal publishes research articles and reviews within the whole field of mathematical modelling, and it will continue to provide information on the latest trends and developments in this ever-expanding subject.

The Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology aims to publish high quality, original research articles, expository tutorial papers and review papers as well as short, critical comments on technical issues associated with the analysis of cellular information. The research papers will be technical presentations of new assertions, discoveries and tools, intended for a narrower specialist community. The tutorials, reviews and critical commentary will be targeted at a broader readership of biologists who are interested in using computers but are not knowledgeable about scientific computing, and equally, computer scientists who have an interest in biology but are not familiar with current thrusts nor the language of biology. Such carefully chosen tutorials and articles should greatly accelerate the rate of entry of these new creative scientists into the field.
