'World Mycotoxin Journal' is a peer-reviewed scientific journal with only one specific area of focus: the promotion of the science of mycotoxins. The journal contains original research papers and critical reviews in all areas dealing with mycotoxins, together with opinions, a calendar of forthcoming mycotoxin-related events and book reviews. The journal takes a multidisciplinary approach, and it focuses on a broad spectrum of issues, including toxicology, risk assessment, worldwide occurrence, modelling and prediction of toxin formation, genomics, molecular biology for control of mycotoxigenic fungi, pre-and post-harvest prevention and control, sampling, analytical methodology and quality assurance, food technology, economics and regulatory issues. 'World Mycotoxin Journal' is intended to serve the needs of researchers and professionals from the scientific community and industry, as well as of policy makers and regulators.

Mycoscience is the official English-language journal of the Mycological Society of Japan and is issued bimonthly. Mycoscience publishes original research articles and reviews on various topics related to fungi including yeasts and other organisms that have traditionally been studied by mycologists. The research areas covered by Mycoscience extend from such purely scientific fields as systematics, evolution, phylogeny, morphology, ecology, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology, to agricultural, medical, and industrial applications. New and improved applications of well-established mycological techniques and methods are also covered.

Cryptogamie is divided into three sections, each published as an individual publication: Cryptogamie, Bryologie, Cryptogamie, Algologie and Cryptogamie, Mycologie. Cryptogamie is a French journal of international scope publishing in several European languages. It accepts original papers and review articles on the systematics, biology and ecology of all cryptogams (algae; bryophytes; fungi and lichens, respectively).

The Lichenologist is the premier scientific journal devoted exclusively to the study of lichens worldwide. As the leading forum for the dissemination of new concepts and topical reviews, The Lichenologist reaches more scientists concerned with the study of lichens and lichen symbionts than any other single journal. All aspects of lichenology are considered including systematics and phylogenetics; molecular biology; ultrastructure, anatomy and morphology; secondary chemistry, effects of pollutants and use as bioindicators; biogeography. In addition to standard length research papers, the journal also publishes Short Communications and Book Reviews. A monthly issue may occasionally be devoted to papers deriving from a symposium.

Sydowia publishes reports of original research relevant to fungal taxonomy, systematics, evolution, structure, development, ecology, pathology (plants, animals, humans), and biotechnological applications. Reviews are published in areas of particular interest and current importance, but authors should consult the Editor before submitting a review manuscript. One volume of the journal, comprising two issues, is published each year. The official journal language is English. Submission of a manuscript to the Executive Editor implies that the results have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to any other scientific journal, except as an abstract. When the authors are in doubt as to the suitability of their papers for Sydowia, the Editor of the journal should be consulted before submission of the manuscript. All authors of a manuscript must have agreed to its submission and are responsible for its content. An author is one who has substantially contributed to the overall design and execution of the experiments. Individuals who supplied materials or critiqued the paper may be recognised in the acknowledgement section.
