Founded in 1982, Acta Oceanologica Sinica is the official bi-monthly journal of the Chinese Society of Oceanography. It seeks to provide a forum for research papers in the field of oceanography from all over the world. In working to advance scholarly communication it has made the fast publication of high-quality research papers within this field its primary goal.
The journal encourages submissions from all branches of oceanography, including marine physics, marine chemistry, marine geology, marine biology, marine hydrology, marine meteorology, ocean engineering, marine remote sensing and marine environment sciences.
It publishes original research papers, review articles as well as research notes covering the whole spectrum of oceanography. Special issues emanating from related conferences and meetings are also considered. All papers are subject to peer review and are published online at SpringerLink.

Tellus A: Dynamic Meteorology and Oceanography along with its sister journal Tellus B: Chemical and Physical Meteorology, are the international, peer-reviewed journals of the International Meteorological Institute in Stockholm, an independent non-for-profit body integrated into the Department of Meteorology at the Faculty of Sciences of Stockholm University, Sweden. Aiming to promote the exchange of knowledge about meteorology from across a range of scientific sub-disciplines, the two journals serve an international community of researchers, policy makers, managers, media and the general public.
Original research papers comprise the mainstay of Tellus A. Review articles, brief research notes, and letters to the editor are also welcome. Special issues and conference proceedings are published from time to time.
The scope of Tellus A spans dynamic meteorology, physical oceanography, data assimilation techniques, numerical weather prediction, climate dynamics and climate modelling.

The Bulletin of Marine Science is a hybrid open access journal dedicated to the dissemination of research dealing with the waters of the world’s oceans. All aspects of marine science are treated by the Bulletin of Marine Science, including papers in marine biology, biological oceanography, fisheries, marine policy, applied marine physics, marine geology and geophysics, marine and atmospheric chemistry, meteorology, and physical oceanography. In most regular issues the Bulletin features separate sections on new taxa, coral reefs, and novel research gear, instrument, device, or system with potential to advance marine research (“Research Tools in Marine Science”). Additionally, the Bulletin publishes informative stand-alone artwork with accompany text in its section "Portraits of Marine Science."

Oceanological and Hydrobiological Studies is an international journal published by the Institute of Oceanography, University of Gdańsk in Poland. The journal has 4 issues per year and contains papers on all aspects of the marine environment and hydrobiology. All manuscripts are reviewed by editors and independent experts. Based on the referees' recommendations, the Editor will make a decision on whether to accept a contribution. All articles are published in English. The journal is open to all matters concerning the water environment, thus providing the readers with a wide spectrum of topics in every issue.
Oceanology, founded in 1961, is the leading journal in all areas of the marine sciences. It publishes original papers in all fields of theoretical and experimental research in physical, chemical, biological, geological, and technical oceanology. The journal also offers reviews and information about conferences, symposia, cruises, and other events of interest to the oceanographic community.
Izvestiya, Atmospheric and Oceanic Physics is a journal that publishes original scientific research and review articles on vital issues in the physics of the Earth’s atmosphere and hydrosphere and climate theory. The journal presents results of recent studies of physical processes in the atmosphere and ocean that control climate, weather, and their changes. These studies have possible practical applications. The journal also gives room to the discussion of results obtained in theoretical and experimental studies in various fields of oceanic and atmospheric physics, such as the dynamics of gas and water media, interaction of the atmosphere with the ocean and land surfaces, turbulence theory, heat balance and radiation processes, remote sensing and optics of both media, natural and man-induced climate changes, and the state of the atmosphere and ocean. The journal publishes papers on research techniques used in both media, current scientific information on domestic and foreign events in the physics of the atmosphere and ocean.
