Developmental Evolution is a branch of evolutionary biology that integrates evidence and concepts from developmental biology, phylogenetics, comparative morphology, evolutionary genetics and increasingly also genomics, systems biology as well as synthetic biology to gain an understanding of the structure and evolution of organisms.
The Journal of Experimental Zoology -B: Molecular and Developmental Evolution provides a forum where these fields are invited to bring together their insights to further a synthetic understanding of evolution from the molecular through the organismic level. Contributions from all these branches of science are welcome to JEZB.
We particularly encourage submissions that apply the tools of genomics, as well as systems and synthetic biology to developmental evolution. At this time the impact of these emerging fields on developmental evolution has not been explored to its fullest extent and for this reason we are eager to foster the relationship of systems and synthetic biology with devo evo.
The Journal of Ethology features reviews and original papers relating to all aspects of animal behavior, including traditional ethology. Papers on field, laboratory, or theoretical studies are welcomed. In contrast to many other ethological journals that prefer studies testing explicit hypotheses, the Journal of Ethology is interested both in observational studies and in experimental studies. However, the authors of observational studies are always requested to provide background information about behaviors in their study and an appropriate context to establish the scientific importance of their observation, which in turn produces fascinating hypotheses to explain the behaviors.

Behaviour is interested in all aspects of animal (including human) behaviour, from ecology and physiology to learning, cognition, and neuroscience. Evolutionary approaches, which concern themselves with the advantages of behaviour or capacities for the organism and its reproduction, receive much attention both at a theoretical level and as it relates to specific behavior.
International in scope, Ethology publishes original research on behaviour including physiological mechanisms, function, and evolution. The Journal addresses behaviour in all species, from slime moulds to humans. Experimental research is preferred, both from the field and the lab, which is grounded in a theoretical framework. The section 'Perspectives and Current Debates' provides an overview of the field and may include theoretical investigations and essays on controversial topics.

Zebrafish is the only peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the central role of zebrafish and other aquarium species as models for the study of vertebrate development, evolution, toxicology, and human disease.
Due to its prolific reproduction and the external development of the transparent embryo, the zebrafish is a prime model for genetic and developmental studies. While genetically more distant from humans, the vertebrate zebrafish nevertheless has comparable organs and tissues, such as heart, kidney, pancreas, bones, and cartilage.
Zebrafish introduced the new section TechnoFish, which highlights these innovations for the general zebrafish community.
TechnoFish features two types of articles:
TechnoFish Previews: Important, generally useful technical advances or valuable transgenic lines
TechnoFish Methods: Brief descriptions of new methods, reagents, or transgenic lines that will be of widespread use in the zebrafish community
Zebrafish coverage includes:
Comparative genomics and evolution
Molecular/cellular mechanisms of cell growth
Genetic analysis of embryogenesis and disease
Toxicological and infectious disease models
Models for neurological disorders and aging
New methods, tools, and experimental approaches
Zebrafish also includes research with other aquarium species such as medaka, Fugu, and Xiphophorus.

Ethology Ecology & Evolution is an international peer reviewed journal which publishes original research and review articles on all aspects of animal behaviour, ecology and evolution. Articles should emphasise the significance of the research for understanding the function, ecology, evolution or genetics of behaviour. Contributions are also sought on aspects of ethology, ecology, evolution and genetics relevant to conservation.
Research articles may be in the form of full length papers or short research reports. The Editor encourages the submission of short papers containing critical discussion of current issues in all the above areas. Monograph-length manuscripts on topics of major interest, as well as descriptions of new methods are welcome. A Forum, Letters to Editor and Book Reviews are also included. Special Issues are also occasionally published.
Helminthologia (HELMIN), published continuously since 1959, is the only journal in Europe that encompasses the individual and collaborative efforts of scientists working on a different topics of human, veterinary and plant helminthology. The journal responsibility is to enrich the theoretical and practical knowledge in very specific areas and thus contribute to the advancements in human and veterinary medicine and agronomy. Taking the advantage of comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches journal still maintains its original spirit and is principal source of fresh scientific information regarding helminths, endoparasites and plant parasites. Addressing the most up-to date topics journal gained rightful and exceptional place next to the other high-quality scientific journals publishing in its field.
