Clarivate IF

The sociology journal Kölner Zeitschrift für Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie (KZfSS) ("Cologne Journal of Sociology and Social Psychology") was founded in 1948 by the Cologne sociologist Leopold von Wiese as the Kölner Zeitschrift für Soziologie. His successor, René König, broadened the journal's scope towards social psychological topics, including cultural sociology and qualitative social research, which gave the journal its current name. KZfSS is the most important sociological publication in the German-speaking world in terms of its scope and distribution. It publishes comprehensively on German sociological research in all disciplines and regularly communicates research results from many countries around the world. KZfSS follows the model of a universal sociology journal. In addition to more than 40 double-blind peer-reviewed original research articles per year, it publishes detailed literature reviews and book reviews of German and international literature in a comprehensive review section. The journal thus provides a forum for sociological research and open discussion. Special emphasis is placed on offering young colleagues an opportunity for their first publication. The journal is included in many renowned scientific Abstracting & Indexing databases such as the Social Science Citation Index. In addition to the four annual issues, a supplement coordinated by guest editors is published annually.

European Journal of Law and Economics

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0929-1261 / 1572-9990•Netherlands
1.5
Clarivate IF

The European Journal of Law and Economics provides readers with high-quality theoretical and empirical research in which both the legal and economic dimensions merge and combine. The journal welcomes articles that promote a better understanding of legal phenomena, legal decisions made by judges, courts or regulatory agencies, and involving economic tools. Theoretical papers are welcome, provided they have a strong basis in law and economics. We also welcome case studies, as well as empirical analyses – including empirical legal studies – and experimental investigations. The European Journal of Law and Economics does not favor any particular topic, but does have a focus on new and emerging problems. European themes are particularly welcome, because we feel it is important to exploit Europe’s considerable institutional diversity in order to build a more robust body of theory and empirical evidence. However, the purpose of the journal is also to showcase the diversity of law and economics approaches, as supplied by an international mix of authors. Drawing on the support of respected scholars from around the world, who serve as consulting editors and editorial board members, the Editors wish to give contributing authors the opportunity to improve their papers, while also offering them a quick and efficient review process. International Journal of Health Economics and Management

Springer Nature•ISSN: 2199-9023 / 2199-9031•United States
1.5
Clarivate IF

The focus of the International Journal of Health Economics and Management is on health care systems and on the behavior of consumers, patients, and providers of such services. The links among management, public policy, payment, and performance are core topics of the relaunched journal. The demand for health care and its cost remain central concerns. Even as medical innovation allows providers to improve the lives of their patients, questions remain about how to efficiently deliver health care services, how to pay for it, and who should pay for it. These are central questions facing innovators, providers, and payers in the public and private sectors. One key to answering these questions is to understand how people choose among alternative arrangements, either in markets or through the political process. The choices made by healthcare managers concerning the organization and production of that care are also crucial. There is an important connection between the management of a health care system and its economic performance. The primary audience for this journal will be health economists and researchers in health management, along with the larger group of health services researchers. In addition, research and policy analysis reported in the journal should be of interest to health care providers, managers and policymakers, who need to know about the pressures facing insurers and governments, with consequences for regulation and mandates. The editors of the journal encourage submissions that analyze the behavior and interaction of the actors in health care, viz. consumers, providers, insurers, and governments. Preference will be given to contributions that combine theoretical with empirical work, evaluate conflicting findings, present new information, or compare experiences between countries and jurisdictions. In addition to conventional research articles, the journal will include specific subsections for shorter concise research findings and cont ributions to management and policy that provide important descriptive data or arguments about what policies follow from research findings. The composition of the editorial board is designed to cover the range of interest among economics and management researchers.Officially cited as: Int J Health Econ ManagFrom 2001 to 2014 the journal was published as International Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics. DIALECTICAL ANTHROPOLOGY

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0304-4092 / 1573-0786•Germany
1.4
Clarivate IF

Dialectical Anthropology is an international journal that seeks to invigorate discussion among left intellectuals by publishing peer-reviewed articles, editorials, letters, reports from the field, political exchanges, and book reviews. The journal aims to foster open debate through criticism, research and commentary from across the social sciences and humanities. It provides a forum for work with a pronounced dialectical approach to social theory and political practice for scholars, public intellectuals, and activists who are interested in Marxism and political-economy. The journal also welcomes submissions from those who wish to be in dialogue or debate with these traditions. Since 1975, Dialectical Anthropology has been dedicated to working towards the transformation of class society through internationalizing conversations that focus on crises of capitalism and the means for social change. The format of Dialectical Anthropology is shaped by these goals. Submissions accepted for peer review are sent to scholars, public intellectuals and activists whose comments are often published along with replies by the manuscript author to engender a dialogic exchange. The " Forum" is also dedicated to reciprocal engagement as scholars, public intellectuals and activists are invited to respond to forum statements meant to provoke debate and discussion. These exchanges provide space for dialectical engagement from a broad range of perspectives about significant issues of our time, Finally, while the book review section follows the traditional 1000 word format, Dialectical Anthropology encourages the submission of substantial essays that comparatively analyze multiple books, films, novels and other texts to contextualize them within contemporary politics, economics, society and culture. Dialectical Anthropology invites contributions from authors committed to international political engagement across disciplinary divides, communities of practice, and oppositional political traditions by encouraging contributions from authors who seek to combine theories and practices of social change. The journal is committed to reaching beyond an Anglophone readership and encourages submissions, dialogue and active participation in languages other than English. The journal will publish these submissions to the extent that its resources and capabilities allow. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the Springer Website at http://dial.edmgr.com and should include abstract, five keywords, and three suggested reviewers.

Economia Politica

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1120-2890 / 1973-820X•Switzerland
1.4
Clarivate IF

This journal publishes peer-reviewed articles that link theory and analysis in political economy, promoting a deeper understanding of economic realities and more effective courses of policy action. Established in 1984, the journal has kept pace with the times in disseminating high-quality and influential research aimed at establishing fruitful links between theories, approaches and institutions. With this relaunch (which combines Springer’s worldwide scientific scope with the Italian cultural roots of il Mulino and Fondazione Edison, whose research has been published by the two mentioned publishers for many years), the journal further reinforces its position in the European and international economic debate and scientific community. Furthermore, this move increases its pluralistic attention to the role that – at the micro, sectoral, and macro level – institutions and innovation play in the unfolding of economic change at different stages of development.

Zeitschrift Fur Erziehungswissenschaft

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1434-663X / 1862-5215•Germany
1.4
Clarivate IF

Zeitschrift für Erziehungswissenschaft (ZfE) (“Journal of Educational Research”) is an established academic journal for the entire field of education. With its first issue published in 1998, ZfE was the first German education journal to consistently apply the double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest scientific standards of its publications. Since then, the journal has become well-established in the academic community and enjoys a high reputation. ZfE publishes peer-reviewed first-class original research on current scientific developments and presents interdisciplinary research results to those interested in professional education. With the selection of editors, the advisory board and especially with the choice of topics, the journal embodies the interdisciplinary character of comprehensive educational research, the subject of which is the entire human life course. The editorial board has been assembled in such a way as to ensure a high degree of plurality with regard to theories and methodologies, the disciplines represented, neighbouring disciplines and to safeguard international developments. The targeted inclusion of international English-language contributions enables drawing connections to research developments outside of Germany. ZfE is thus a trusted periodical that presents the international and interdisciplinary developments in broad areas of educational research that are important for education and training in a reliable, objective and comprehensible manner.

British Politics

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1746-918X / 1746-9198•United Kingdom
1.3
Clarivate IF

British Politics offers the only forum explicitly designed to promote research in British political studies, and seeks to provide a counterweight to the growing fragmentation of this field during recent years. To this end, the journal aims to promote a more holistic understanding of British politics by encouraging a closer integration between theoretical and empirical research, between historical and contemporary analyses, and by fostering a conception of British politics as a broad and multi-disciplinary field of study. This incorporates a range of sub-fields, including psephology, policy analysis, regional studies, comparative politics, institutional analysis, political theory, political economy, historical analysis, cultural studies and social policy. While recognising the validity and the importance of research into specific aspects of British politics, the journal takes it to be a guiding principle that such research is more useful, and indeed meaningful, if it is related to the field of British politics in a broader and fuller sense. The scope of the journal will therefore be broad, incorporating a range of research papers and review articles from all theoretical perspectives, and on all aspects of British politics, including policy developments, institutional change and political behaviour. Priority will, however, be given to contributions which link contemporary developments in British politics to theoretical and/or historical analyses. The aim is as much to encourage the development of empirical research that is theoretically rigorous and informed, as it is to encourage the empirical application of theoretical work (or at least to encourage theorists to explicitly signify how their work could be applied in an empirical manner).
