Health Care Analysis

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1065-3058 / 1573-3394•Netherlands
1.4
Clarivate IF

Health Care Analysis is a journal that promotes dialogue and debate about conceptual and normative issues related to health and health care, including health systems, healthcare provision, health law, public policy and health, professional health practice, health services organization and decision-making, and health-related education at all levels of clinical medicine, public health and global health. Health Care Analysis seeks to support the conversation between philosophy and policy, in particular illustrating the importance of conceptual and normative analysis to health policy, practice and research. As such, papers accepted for publication are likely to analyse philosophical questions related to health, health care or health policy that focus on one or more of the following: aims or ends, theories, frameworks, concepts, principles, values or ideology. All styles of theoretical analysis are welcome providing that they illuminate conceptual or normative issues and encourage debate between those interested in health, philosophy and policy. Papers must be rigorous, but should strive for accessibility – with care being taken to ensure that their arguments and implications are plain to a broad academic and international audience. In addition to purely theoretical papers, papers grounded in empirical research or case-studies are very welcome so long as they explore the conceptual or normative implications of such work. Authors are encouraged, where possible, to have regard to the social contexts of the issues they are discussing, and all authors should ensure that they indicate the ‘real world’ implications of their work. Health Care Analysis publishes contributions from philosophers, lawyers, social scientists, healthcare educators, healthcare professionals and administrators, and other health-related academics and policy analysts.

Journal of Transportation Security

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1938-7741 / 1938-775X•Germany
1.4
Clarivate IF

The mission of the Journal of Transportation Security is to disseminate new research, thought, and analysis for teachers, researchers, policy makers and practitioners who view transportation security as a critical element of our world.   Since the inception of transportation networks, security has always played a role in planning and execution, albeit a tertiary one to increased efficiencies and reduced costs. Over the past two decades, however, ongoing attacks by criminals and terrorists have altered the ways that transportation security is viewed by governments and industry. Protecting the physical infrastructure of transport systems along with cargo, passengers, and personnel is now held as both a national security priority and an organizational necessity. Fundamental to fulfilling the mission of JTRS is a global, multi-disciplinary approach to the subject of transportation security.   Over the past ten years, at least ten articles have been published from each of these varied areas of specialization: legal studies; supply chain management; engineering and technology; maritime and ocean transport; economics and business; emergency management; criminology; rail and mass transit; aviation security; geopolitics; public policy; education and knowledge management; cybersecurity and space; and road and inland transport.Officially cited as: J Transp Secur

Zeitschrift Fur Erziehungswissenschaft

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1434-663X / 1862-5215•Germany

Clarivate IF

Zeitschrift für Erziehungswissenschaft (ZfE) (“Journal of Educational Research”) is an established academic journal for the entire field of education. With its first issue published in 1998, ZfE was the first German education journal to consistently apply the double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest scientific standards of its publications. Since then, the journal has become well-established in the academic community and enjoys a high reputation. ZfE publishes peer-reviewed first-class original research on current scientific developments and presents interdisciplinary research results to those interested in professional education. With the selection of editors, the advisory board and especially with the choice of topics, the journal embodies the interdisciplinary character of comprehensive educational research, the subject of which is the entire human life course. The editorial board has been assembled in such a way as to ensure a high degree of plurality with regard to theories and methodologies, the disciplines represented, neighbouring disciplines and to safeguard international developments. The targeted inclusion of international English-language contributions enables drawing connections to research developments outside of Germany. ZfE is thus a trusted periodical that presents the international and interdisciplinary developments in broad areas of educational research that are important for education and training in a reliable, objective and comprehensible manner.

British Politics

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1746-918X / 1746-9198•United Kingdom
1.3
Clarivate IF

British Politics offers the only forum explicitly designed to promote research in British political studies, and seeks to provide a counterweight to the growing fragmentation of this field during recent years. To this end, the journal aims to promote a more holistic understanding of British politics by encouraging a closer integration between theoretical and empirical research, between historical and contemporary analyses, and by fostering a conception of British politics as a broad and multi-disciplinary field of study. This incorporates a range of sub-fields, including psephology, policy analysis, regional studies, comparative politics, institutional analysis, political theory, political economy, historical analysis, cultural studies and social policy. While recognising the validity and the importance of research into specific aspects of British politics, the journal takes it to be a guiding principle that such research is more useful, and indeed meaningful, if it is related to the field of British politics in a broader and fuller sense. The scope of the journal will therefore be broad, incorporating a range of research papers and review articles from all theoretical perspectives, and on all aspects of British politics, including policy developments, institutional change and political behaviour. Priority will, however, be given to contributions which link contemporary developments in British politics to theoretical and/or historical analyses. The aim is as much to encourage the development of empirical research that is theoretically rigorous and informed, as it is to encourage the empirical application of theoretical work (or at least to encourage theorists to explicitly signify how their work could be applied in an empirical manner).

1.3
Clarivate IF

Critical Criminology is the official journal of the ASC Division of Critical Criminology. The journal deals with questions of social, political and economic justice. Critical Criminology is for academics and researchers with an interest in anarchistic, cultural, feminist, integrative, Marxist, peace-making, postmodernist and left-realist criminology. The journal does not limit the scope of the inquiry to state definitions of crime and welcomes work focusing on issues of social harm and social justice, including those exploring the intersecting lines of class, gender, race/ethnicity and heterosexism. The journal is of interest for all persons with an interest in alternative methodologies and theories in criminology, including chaos theory, non-linear analysis, and complex systems science as it pertains to the study of crime and criminal justice. The journal encourages works that focus on creative and cooperative solutions to justice problems, plus strategies for the construction of a more inclusive society.

HUSSERL STUDIES

Springer Nature•ISSN: 0167-9848 / 1572-8501•Netherlands
1.3
Clarivate IF

Husserl Studies is an international forum for the presentation, discussion, criticism, and development of Husserl's philosophy. It also publishes papers devoted to systematic investigations in the various philosophical sub-areas of phenomenological research (e.g., theory of intentionality, theory of meaning, ethics and action theory, etc.), where such work is oriented toward the development, adaptation, and/or criticism of Husserlian phenomenology. Husserl Studies also invites contributions dealing with phenomenology in relation to other directions in philosophy such as hermeneutics, critical theory, and the various modes of analytic philosophy. The aim, in keeping with Husserl's own philosophical self-understanding, is to demonstrate that phenomenology is a reflective and methodologically disciplined form of philosophical inquiry that can and must prove itself through its handling of concrete problems. Thus Husserl Studies provides a venue for careful textual work on Husserl's published and unpublished writings and for historical, systematic, and problem-oriented phenomenological inquiry. It also publishes critical reviews of current work on Husserl, and reviews of other philosophical literature that has a direct bearing on the themes and areas of interest to Husserl Studies.

Interest Groups & Advocacy

Springer Nature•ISSN: 2047-7414 / 2047-7422•United Kingdom
1.3
Clarivate IF

Interest Groups & Advocacy will engage broadly with the politics of interests. It will record and analyze how advocacy by groups, movements and lobbying professionals shapes policy, and it will address important debates about how such interests are mobilized and maintained. It will cast a wide net across politics and society to identify the forces, strategies, and tactics that determine policy change. Open to diverse methodologies, it welcomes studies that address theoretical issues, report rigorous empirical work, and deliver insight on the range of change agents and their behaviour and impact. Although this is a field traditionally dominated by American political science, in recent years there has been a widening geographical range as scholarly attention has reflected the growth of numbers, lobbyists have proliferated, and spending has increased in Europe, and in many states, provinces and localities around the world. Such territorial expansion of focus has been accompanied by broadened interest in the number and type of advocacy organizations, (far from the textbook stereotypes of interest groups), such as multi-national corporations, NGOs, and social movements, that seek to influence public policies. With the active assistance of a diverse and experienced editorial board, the Editors explicitly seek to create a visible, well-regarded journal with the highest standards. Whether in addressing historical issues or recent events, prospective articles should be sophisticated and of interest to a wide audience. We seek incisive, well-researched, and well-written articles. These qualities are especially important given our desire to attract contributions and attention from practitioners in the worlds of lobbying and group organization. Alongside the Editorial Board there is a Practice Panel to ensure our contents are credible in the world of practice. Although this journal is anchored within political science, these aims will not be addressed satisfactorily without submissions from other disciplines, such as economics, sociology, law, and history. Social movement scholarship clearly falls under the broad field; likewise, public affairs makes up a major component of the process of competitive advocacy that is now commonplace as a proxy for democratic contestation. The Editors and the editorial board welcome contributions in this broad area and intend to respond promptly to authors, with a goal of communicating decisions in no more than six weeks. Although these matters have long received scholarly attention, they have never commanded the attention of a single journal and specialist reviewing. We look forward to establishing Interest Groups & Advocacy as this focal point.
