This international research journal focuses on the engineering aspects of post-production handling, storage, processing, packaging, and distribution of food. Read by researchers, food and chemical engineers, and industry experts, this is the only international journal specifically devoted to the engineering aspects of food processing. Co-Editors M. Elena Castell-Perez and Rosana Moreira, both of Texas A&M University, welcome papers covering the best original research on applications of engineering principles and concepts to food and food processes.
Expert Systems: The Journal of Knowledge Engineering publishes papers dealing with all aspects of knowledge engineering, including individual methods and techniques in knowledge acquisition and representation, and their application in the construction of systems – including expert systems – based thereon. Detailed scientific evaluation is an essential part of any paper.
As well as traditional application areas, such as Software and Requirements Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, and Artificial Intelligence, we are aiming at the new and growing markets for these technologies, such as Business, Economy, Market Research, and Medical and Health Care. The shift towards this new focus will be marked by a series of special issues covering hot and emergent topics.
The International Journal of Food Science & Technology (IJFST) is published for the Institute of Food Science and Technology, the IFST. This authoritative and well-established journal publishes in a wide range of subjects, ranging from pure research in the various sciences associated with food to practical experiments designed to improve technical processes. Subjects covered range from raw material composition to consumer acceptance, from physical properties to food engineering practices, and from quality assurance and safety to storage, distribution, marketing and use. While the main aim of the Journal is to provide a forum for papers describing the results of original research, review articles are also welcomed.
Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures (FFEMS) encompasses the broad topic of structural integrity which is founded on the mechanics of fatigue and fracture, and is concerned with the reliability and effectiveness of various materials and structural components of any scale or geometry. The editors publish original contributions that will stimulate the intellectual innovation that generates elegant, effective and economic engineering designs. The journal is interdisciplinary and includes papers from scientists and engineers in the fields of materials science, mechanics, physics, chemistry, etc.

The Journal of Texture Studies is a fully peer-reviewed international journal specialized in the physics, physiology, and psychology of food oral processing, with an emphasis on the food texture and structure, sensory perception and mouth-feel, food oral behaviour, food liking and preference. The journal was first published in 1969 and has been the primary source for disseminating advances in knowledge on all of the sciences that relate to food texture. In recent years, Journal of Texture Studies has expanded its coverage to a much broader range of texture research and continues to publish high quality original and innovative experimental-based (including numerical analysis and simulation) research concerned with all aspects of eating and food preference.
Journal of Texture Studies welcomes research articles, research notes, reviews, discussion papers, and communications from contributors of all relevant disciplines. Some key coverage areas/topics include (but not limited to):

Biotechnology Progress , an official, bimonthly publication of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and its technological community, the Society for Biological Engineering, features peer-reviewed research articles, reviews, and descriptions of emerging techniques for the development and design of new processes, products, and devices for the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical and bioprocess industries.

The Journal of Food Safety emphasizes mechanistic studies involving inhibition, injury, and metabolism of food poisoning microorganisms, as well as the regulation of growth and toxin production in both model systems and complex food substrates. It also focuses on pathogens which cause food-borne illness, helping readers understand the factors affecting the initial detection of parasites, their development, transmission, and methods of control and destruction.
The primary mission of Coloration Technology is to promote innovation and fundamental understanding in the science and technology of coloured materials by providing a medium for communication of peer-reviewed research papers of the highest quality. Artificial Organs is the official peer reviewed journal of The International Federation for Artificial Organs (Members of the Federation are: The American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, The European Society for Artificial Organs, and The Japanese Society for Artificial Organs), The International Faculty for Artificial Organs, the International Society for Rotary Blood Pumps, The International Society for Pediatric Mechanical Cardiopulmonary Support, and the Vienna International Workshop on Functional Electrical Stimulation. Artificial Organs publishes original research articles dealing with developments in artificial organs applications and treatment modalities and their clinical applications worldwide. Membership in the Societies listed above is not a prerequisite for publication. Articles are published without charge to the author except for color figures and excess page charges as noted.
The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering (CJChE) publishes original research articles, new theoretical interpretation or experimental findings and critical reviews in the science or industrial practice of chemical and biochemical processes.
