The ACM Transactions on Storage (TOS) is a new journal with an intent to publish original archival papers in the area of storage and closely related disciplines. Articles that appear in TOS will tend either to present new techniques and concepts or to report novel experiences and experiments with practical systems. Storage is a broad and multidisciplinary area that comprises of network protocols, resource management, data backup, replication, recovery, devices, security, and theory of data coding, densities, and low-power. Potential synergies among these fields are expected to open up new research directions.
IEEE Journal on Exploratory Solid-State Computational Devices and Circuits is a leading international peer-reviewed journal publishing original research, clinical updates, and reviews indexed in Clarivate Web of Science (SCIE) with Q2 quartile ranking.
TRETS is the top journal focusing on research in, on, and with reconfigurable systems and on their underlying technology. The scope, rationale, and coverage by other journals are often limited to particular aspects of reconfigurable technology or reconfigurable systems. TRETS is a journal that covers reconfigurability in its own right. Topics that would be appropriate for TRETS would include all levels of reconfigurable system abstractions and all aspects of reconfigurable technology including platforms, programming environments and application successes that support these systems for computing or other applications. -The board and systems architectures of a reconfigurable platform. -Programming environments of reconfigurable systems, especially those designed for use with reconfigurable systems that will lead to increased programmer productivity. -Languages and compilers for reconfigurable systems. -Logic synthesis and related tools, as they relate to reconfigurable systems. -Applications on which success can be demonstrated. The underlying technology from which reconfigurable systems are developed. (Currently this technology is that of FPGAs, but research on the nature and use of follow-on technologies is appropriate for TRETS.) In considering whether a paper is suitable for TRETS, the foremost question should be whether reconfigurability has been essential to success. Topics such as architecture, programming languages, compilers, and environments, logic synthesis, and high performance applications are all suitable if the context is appropriate. For example, an architecture for an embedded application that happens to use FPGAs is not necessarily suitable for TRETS, but an architecture using FPGAs for which the reconfigurability of the FPGAs is an inherent part of the specifications (perhaps due to a need for re-use on multiple applications) would be appropriate for TRETS.
IEEE Computer Architecture Letters is a rigorously peer-reviewed forum for publishing early, high-impact results in the areas of uni- and multiprocessor computer systems, computer architecture, microarchitecture, workload characterization, performance evaluation and simulation techniques, and power-aware computing. Submissions are welcomed on any topic in computer architecture, especially but not limited to: microprocessor and multiprocessor systems, microarchitecture and ILP processors, workload characterization, performance evaluation and simulation techniques, compiler-hardware and operating system-hardware interactions, interconnect architectures, memory and cache systems, power and thermal issues at the architecture level, I/O architectures and techniques, independent validation of previously published results, analysis of unsuccessful techniques, domain-specific processor architectures (e.g., embedded, graphics, network, etc.), real-time and high-availability architectures, reconfigurable systems.
IEEE Design & Test offers original works describing the models, methods, and tools used to design and test microelectronic systems from devices and circuits to complete systems-on-chip and embedded software. The magazine focuses on current and near-future practice, and includes tutorials, how-to articles, and real-world case studies. The magazine seeks to bring to its readers not only important technology advances but also technology leaders, their perspectives through its columns, interviews, and roundtable discussions. Topics include semiconductor IC design, semiconductor intellectual property blocks, design, verification and test technology, design for manufacturing and yield, embedded software and systems, low-power and energy-efficient design, electronic design automation tools, practical technology, and standards.
