Coordination Chemistry Reviews

Elsevier•ISSN: 0010-8545•Netherlands
25.6
Clarivate IF

The journal offers rapid publication of review articles on topics of current interest and importance in coordination chemistry. The term coordination chemistry is interpreted broadly, and includes aspects of organometallic, supramolecular, theoretical, and bioinorganic chemistry. The journal also publishes review articles on catalysis, materials chemistry and metal-organic frameworks which focus on the coordination chemistry aspects of these topics. In general, the reviews survey developments in a particular area during the last few years, or discuss the results obtained with a particular technique. We welcome reviews both from established researchers and excellent younger chemists. Special issues are published from time to time on topics of current interest and importance. These special issues may also focus on contributions from a specific country or area of the world, or contain the proceedings of invited lectures to major international conferences. Full book length articles also appear occasionally. The journal also incorporates special volumes containing annual reviews of main group chemistry, on transition metal group chemistry, and on organometallic chemistry. Excellent reviews are essential educational tools for those working in the area of coordination chemistry. Coordination Chemistry Reviews will continue to act as a focal point for informative critical surveys of inorganic and physical inorganic chemistry.

Progress in Solid State Chemistry

Elsevier Ltd•ISSN: 0079-6786•England
9.7
Clarivate IF

Progress in Solid State Chemistry presents a chemical view of the solid state by providing up-to-date critical reviews written by acknowledged authorities in the field. It also publishes surveys of research progress and specialized articles devoted to summarizing particular recent developments. The aim is to address the need brought about by the literature on the chemistry of the solid state being widely dispersed, making it difficult to obtain a broad and unified assessment of the present state of knowledge. Special emphasis is given to relating physical properties and structural chemistry. Whereas structural chemistry at one time was concerned mostly with perfect solids, most activity focused upon understanding of solid properties focuses on imperfections. Entities such as vacancies, dislocations, and positive holes, which have no independent existence outside the solid itself, are of prime importance in modern solid state chemistry.

All new compounds should be satisfactorily identified and proof of their structure given according to generally accepted standards. Structural reports, such as papers exclusively dealing with synthesis and characterization, analytical techniques, or X-ray diffraction studies of metal-organic or organometallic compounds will not be considered. The editors reserve the right to refuse without peer review any manuscript that does not comply with the aims and scope of the journal. Applied Organometallic Chemistry publishes Full Papers, Reviews, Mini Reviews and Communications of scientific research in all areas of organometallic and metal-organic chemistry involving main group metals, transition metals, lanthanides and actinides. All contributions should contain an explicit application of novel compounds, for instance in materials science, nano science, catalysis, chemical vapour deposition, metal-mediated organic synthesis, polymers, bio-organometallics, metallo-therapy, metallo-diagnostics and medicine. Reviews of books covering aspects of the fields of focus are also published.

Comments on Inorganic Chemistry

Taylor and Francis Ltd.•ISSN: 0260-3594 / 1548-9574•England
4.1
Clarivate IF

Comments on Inorganic Chemistry is intended as a vehicle for authoritatively written critical discussions of inorganic chemistry research. We publish focused articles of any length that critique or comment upon new concepts, or which introduce new interpretations or developments of long-standing concepts. “Comments” may contain critical discussions of previously published work, or original research that critiques existing concepts or introduces novel concepts. Through the medium of “comments,” the Editors encourage authors in any area of inorganic chemistry - synthesis, structure, spectroscopy, kinetics and mechanisms, theory - to write about their interests in a manner that is both personal and pedagogical. Comments is an excellent platform for younger inorganic chemists whose research is not yet widely known to describe their work, and add to the spectrum of Comments’ author profiles, which includes many well-established inorganic chemists.

Transition Metal Chemistry

Springer International Publishing•ISSN: 0340-4285 / 1572-901X•Netherlands
2.8
Clarivate IF

Transition Metal Chemistry is an international journal designed to deal with all aspects of the subject embodied in the title: the preparation of transition metal-based molecular compounds of all kinds (including complexes of the Group 12 elements), their structural, physical, kinetic, catalytic and biological properties, their use in chemical synthesis as well as their application in the widest context, their role in naturally occurring systems etc. Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be of broad appeal to the readership and for this reason, papers which are confined to more specialised studies such as the measurement of solution phase equilibria or thermal decomposition studies, or papers which include extensive material on f-block elements, or papers dealing with non-molecular materials, will not normally be considered for publication. Work describing new ligands or coordination geometries must provide sufficient evidence for the confident assignment of structural formulae; this will usually take the form of one or more X-ray crystal structures.

Journal of Coordination Chemistry

Taylor and Francis Ltd.•ISSN: 0095-8972 / 1029-0389•England
1.6
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Coordination Chemistry publishes the results of original investigations of coordination complexes, loosely defined as the interactions of organic or inorganic ligands with metal centres. Original investigations may involve syntheses, structures, physical and chemical properties, kinetics and mechanisms of reactions, calculations and applications of coordination compounds. The applications may involve bioinorganic, organometallic, catalytic, solid state/materials, coordination chemistry of nanostructured surfaces and medicinal studies. The Journal publishes original manuscripts, communications and reviews. Original manuscripts are expected to provide a clear contribution to the advance of coordination chemistry. Communications are short manuscripts with an urgency that requires rapid publication. Reviews are welcome in all areas of coordination chemistry and may focus on the metal, ligand or applications. Reviews of emerging areas of coordination chemistry should be developed fully from the basics, carefully relating the topic to the field in general. Reviews of well established subjects should collect developments from the literature and take a critical view of recent work.
