Algebra & Number Theory

Mathematical Sciences Publishers•ISSN: 1937-0652•United States
1.4
Clarivate IF

ANT’s inclusive definition of algebra and number theory allows it to print research covering a wide range of subtopics, including algebraic and arithmetic geometry. ANT publishes high-quality articles of interest to a broad readership, at a level surpassing all but the top four or five mathematics journals. It exists in both print and electronic forms. The policies of ANT are set by the editorial board — a group of working mathematicians — rather than by a profit-oriented company, so they will remain friendly to mathematicians' interests. In particular, they will promote broad dissemination, easy electronic access, and permissive use of content to the greatest extent compatible with survival of the journal. All electronic content becomes free and open access 5 years after publication.

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C-Applied Statistics

Wiley-Blackwell Publishing Ltd•ISSN: 0035-9254 / 1467-9876•England
1.4
Clarivate IF

The Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series C (Applied Statistics) is a journal of international repute for statisticians both inside and outside the academic world. The journal is concerned with papers which deal with novel solutions to real life statistical problems by adapting or developing methodology, or by demonstrating the proper application of new or existing statistical methods to them. At their heart therefore the papers in the journal are motivated by examples and statistical data of all kinds. The subject-matter covers the whole range of inter-disciplinary fields, e.g. applications in agriculture, genetics, industry, medicine and the physical sciences, and papers on design issues (e.g. in relation to experiments, surveys or observational studies). A deep understanding of statistical methodology is not necessary to appreciate the content. Although papers describing developments in statistical computing driven by practical examples are within its scope, the journal is not concerned with simply numerical illustrations or simulation studies. The emphasis of Series C is on case-studies of statistical analyses in practice.

Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

EDP Sciences•ISSN: 0973-5348 / 1760-6101•France
1.4
Clarivate IF

The Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena (MMNP) is an international research journal, which publishes top-level original and review papers, short communications and proceedings on mathematical modelling in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, and other areas. The scope of the journal is devoted to mathematical modelling with sufficiently advanced model, and the works studying mainly the existence and stability of stationary points of ODE systems are not considered. The scope of the journal also includes applied mathematics and mathematical analysis in the context of its applications to the real world problems. The journal is essentially functioning on the basis of topical issues representing active areas of research. Each topical issue has its own editorial board. The authors are invited to submit papers to the announced issues or to suggest new issues. Journal publishes research articles and reviews within the whole field of mathematical modelling, and it will continue to provide information on the latest trends and developments in this ever-expanding subject.

Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications

John Wiley and Sons Ltd•ISSN: 1070-5325 / 1099-1506•United States
1.4
Clarivate IF

Manuscripts submitted to Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications should include large-scale broad-interest applications in which challenging computational results are integral to the approach investigated and analysed. Manuscripts that, in the Editor’s view, do not satisfy these conditions will not be accepted for review. Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications receives submissions in areas that address developing, analysing and applying linear algebra algorithms for solving problems arising in multilinear (tensor) algebra, in statistics, such as Markov Chains, as well as in deterministic and stochastic modelling of large-scale networks, algorithm development, performance analysis or related computational aspects. Topics covered include: Standard and Generalized Conjugate Gradients, Multigrid and Other Iterative Methods; Preconditioning Methods; Direct Solution Methods; Numerical Methods for Eigenproblems; Newton-like Methods for Nonlinear Equations; Parallel and Vectorizable Algorithms in Numerical Linear Algebra; Application of Methods of Numerical Linear Algebra in Science, Engineering and Economics.

Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations

John Wiley and Sons Inc.•ISSN: 0749-159X / 1098-2426•United States
1.4
Clarivate IF

An international journal that aims to cover research into the development and analysis of new methods for the numerical solution of partial differential equations, it is intended that it be readily readable by and directed to a broad spectrum of researchers into numerical methods for partial differential equations throughout science and engineering. The numerical methods and techniques themselves are emphasized rather than the specific applications. The Journal seeks to be interdisciplinary, while retaining the common thread of applied numerical analysis.

All articles submitted to this journal are peer-reviewed. The AMS has a single blind peer-review process in which the reviewers know who the authors of the manuscript are, but the authors do not have access to the information on who the peer reviewers are. This journal is devoted to research articles in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. To be published in the Transactions, a paper must be correct, new, and significant. Further, it must be well written and of interest to a substantial number of mathematicians. Piecemeal results, such as an inconclusive step toward an unproved major theorem or a minor variation on a known result, are in general not acceptable for publication. Papers of less than 15 printed pages that meet the above criteria should be submitted to the Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society. Published pages are the same size as those generated in the style files provided for AMS-LaTeX.
