The NJAS - Wageningen Journal of Life Sciences, published since 1952, is the quarterly journal of the Royal Netherlands Society for Agricultural Sciences. NJAS aspires to be the main scientific platform for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research on complex and persistent problems in agricultural production, food and nutrition security and natural resource management. The societal and technical challenges in these domains require research integrating scientific disciplines and finding novel combinations of methodologies and conceptual frameworks. Moreover, the composite nature of these problems and challenges fits transdisciplinary research approaches embedded in constructive interactions with policy and practice and crossing the boundaries between science and society. Engaging with societal debate and creating decision space is an important task of research about the diverse impacts of novel agri-food technologies or policies. The international nature of food and nutrition security (e.g. global value chains, standardisation, trade), environmental problems (e.g. climate change or competing claims on natural resources), and risks related to agriculture (e.g. the spread of plant and animal diseases) challenges researchers to focus not only on lower levels of aggregation, but certainly to use interdisciplinary research to unravel linkages between scales or to analyse dynamics at higher levels of aggregation. NJAS recognises that the widely acknowledged need for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, also increasingly expressed by policy makers and practitioners, needs a platform for creative researchers and out-of-the-box thinking in the domains of agriculture, food and environment. The journal aims to offer space for grounded, critical, and open discussions that advance the development and application of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research methodologies in the agricultural and life sciences.
The Philippine Journal of Veterinary Medicine is a refereed journal of basic and applied research in Veterinary Science and Medicine. It is published semi-annually, in June and December of each year, by the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of the Philippines Los Baños. It covers various research papers on topics such as Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Epidemiology, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health, Veterinary Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Nutrition, Theriogenology, and Wildlife. The Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Medicine was launched in 1979 as the official scientific periodical of the Sociedade de Medicina Veterinária do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (SOMVERJ). It is recognized by the Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Veterinária (SBMV) and the Conselho Regional de Medicina Veterinária do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (CRMV-RJ).
The Revue de Médecine Vétérinaire publishes four kinds of text: 1) Scientific reviews on subjects related to veterinary and comparative medicine. Suggested length: 10 to 30 typed pages. 2) Original reports on fundamental or applied research. Suggested length: 10 to 15 typed pages. 3) Continuous education articles, that should be easily understandable by non-specialists. Suggested length: 10 to 15 typed pages. 4) Clinical reports. Suggested length: 5 to 15 typed pages. The publication can be done in French language or English language. For an article written in English by not english native speakers authors, the manuscript must be subjected by attesting that it was read again by an anglophone scientist or a scientific translator. The authors must certify that the manuscript was not published or subjected for publication to another review. The manuscript must be accompanied by a sheet signed by all the joint authors indicating their agreement for the tender of the manuscript. The publication is free but a financial participation could be required for the photographs color. An estimate will be sent to collect the agreement of the authors.
