The Russian Journal of Ecology publishes completed original studies in all branches of theoretical and experimental ecology, reviews, articles on topics currently in debate, and information on new methods of research.
The journal aims to offer a broad coverage of the subject area, including the following: - biology and ecology of the Irish flora and fauna - microbial ecology - animal, plant and environmental physiology - global change - palaeoecology and palaeoclimatology - population biology; conservation of genetic resources - pollution and environmental quality; ecotoxicology - environmental management - hydrology - land use, agriculture, soils and environment. Submissions on other relevant topics are also welcome, and papers of a cross-disciplinary nature are particularly encouraged.
Contemporary Problems of Ecology is a multidisciplinary periodical that publishes original works on the following subjects: theoretical and methodical issues of ecology, regional aspects of ecology, regional ecological disasters, structure and functioning of ecosystems, anthropogenic transformation of ecosystems. All basic aspects of modern ecology, including the most complicated interactions between living organisms and their environment, are presented. Some of the journal issues are dedicated to global changes in biological diversity at various levels of organization (populations, species, ecosystems) principles and methods of nature conservation.
IJEWM is a refereed reference and authoritative source of information in the field of environmental and waste management Together with its sister publications IJEP, IJETM and IJGEnvI, it provides a comprehensive coverage of environmental issues. It covers both engineering/technical and management solutions. Topics covered include: -Multicriteria assessment of waste treatment technologies -Stakeholder role: technology implementation, future technology management strategies -Participatory decision making, integration of policies/research in the waste sector -Case studies and environmental impact analysis in the waste sector -Air, water, soil, groundwater, radiological pollution, control/management -Environmental pollution, prevention/control, waste treatment/management -Water and municipal/agricultural/industrial wastewater and waste treatment -Solid/hazardous/biosolids/residuals waste, treatment/minimisation/disposal/management -Environmental quality standards, legislation, regulations, policy -Pollution prevention, clean technologies, conservation/recycling/reuse -Public/environmental health, environmental toxicology, risk assessment -Sources/transport/fate of pollutants in the environment; remediation, restoration -Mathematical/modelling techniques, case studies -Aquatic sciences, water/sol chemistry, environmental biology, microbiology -Environmental education and training
The Israel Journal of Ecology and Evolution includes high-quality original research and review papers that advance our knowledge and understanding of the function, diversity, abundance, distribution, and evolution of organisms. We give equal consideration to all submissions regardless of geography.
The Northeastern Naturalist covers all aspects of the natural history sciences of terrestrial, freshwater, and marine organisms and the environments of the northeastern portion of North America, roughly bounded from Virginia to Missouri, north to Minnesota and Nunavut, east to Newfoundland, and south back to Virginia. Manuscripts based on field studies outside of this region that provide information on species within this region may be considered at the Editor’s discretion. The journal welcomes manuscripts based on observations and research focused on the biology of terrestrial, freshwater, and marine organisms and communities as it relates to their life histories and their function within, use of, and adaptation to the environment and the habitats in which they are found, as well as on the ecology and conservation of species and habitats. Such studies may encompass measurements, surveys, and/or experiments in the field, under lab conditions, or utilizing museum and herbarium specimens. Subject areas include, but are not limited to, anatomy, behavior, biogeography, biology, conservation, evolution, ecology, genetics, parasitology, physiology, population biology, and taxonomy. Strict lab, modeling, and simulation studies on natural history aspects of the region, without any field component, will be considered for publication as long as the research has direct and clear significance to field naturalists and the manuscript discusses these implications.
The Western North American Naturalist places neither restriction nor preference on manuscripts within the disciplines of the biological sciences. Each issue treats diverse taxa from the perspectives of various disciplines (e.g., ecology, population dynamics, behavior, systematics, anatomy, and physiology).
Acta Phytotaxonomica et Geobotanica (APG) is an international peer-reviewed journal published three times a year by the Japanese Society for Plant Systematics. It is the continuation of the journal Societas Phytogeographica Kyoto, Japan. APG publishes research manuscripts in the fields of taxonomy, phylogeny, evolution, conservation, biogeography of plants (including algae and fungi) and related disciplines. Contributions devoted to new taxa, nomenclature, monographs, floristic studies and genetic variation are also invited. All manuscripts should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief.
GULF AND CARIBBEAN RESEARCH is a leading international peer-reviewed journal publishing original research, clinical updates, and reviews indexed in Clarivate Web of Science (SCIE) with Q4 quartile ranking.
The pages of Northwest Science are open to original and fundamental research in the basic, applied, and social sciences. All submissions are refereed by at least two qualified peer reviewers. Papers are welcome from authors outside of the Pacific Northwest if the topic is suitable to our regional audience.
Pachyderm is a bi-annual international peer-reviewed journal that deals primarily with matters related to African elephant and African and Asian rhino conservation and management in the wild. It is also a platform for dissemination of information concerning the activities of the African Elephant, the African Rhino, and the Asian Rhino Specialist Groups of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC). Views expressed in Pachyderm are those of the individual authors, and do not necessarily reflect those of IUCN, the Species Survival Commission or any of the three Specialist Groups responsible for producing Pachyderm (namely the African Elephant Specialist Group, the African Rhino Specialist Group and the Asian Rhino Specialist Group).
POLISH JOURNAL OF ECOLOGY (formerly Ekologia polska) publishes original scientific research papers dealing with all aspects of ecology: both fundamental and applied, physiological ecology, evolutionary ecology, ecology of population, community, ecosystem, landscape as well as global ecology. There is no bias regarding taxons, ecosystems or geographical regions.
The Southwestern Naturalist (a publication of the Southwestern Association of Naturalists since 1953) is an international journal (published quarterly) that reports original and significant research in any field of natural history. This journal promotes the study of plants and animals (living and fossil) in the multinational region that includes the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America. Appropriate submission of manuscripts may come from studies conducted in the countries of focus or in regions outside this area that report significant findings relating to biota occurring in the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America. Publication is in English, and manuscripts may be feature articles or notes. Feature articles communicate results of completed scientific investigations, while notes are reserved for short communications (e.g., behavioral observations, range extensions, and other important findings that do not in themselves constitute a comprehensive study). All manuscripts (feature articles and notes) require an abstract in both English and Spanish.

Advances in Ecological Research is one of the most successful series in the highly competitive field of ecology. Each volume publishes topical and important reviews, interpreting ecology as widely as in the past, to include all material that contributes to our understanding of the field. Topics in this invaluable series include the physiology, populations, and communities of plants and animals, as well as landscape and ecosystem ecology.
