Journal of Community Genetics

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1868-310X / 1868-6001•Germany
1.8
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Community Genetics is an international forum for research in the ever-expanding field of community genetics, the art and science of applying medical genetics to human communities for the benefit of their individuals. Community genetics comprises all activities which identify persons at increased genetic risk and has an interest in assessing this risk, in order to enable those at risk to make informed decisions. Community genetics services thus encompass such activities as genetic screening, registration of genetic conditions in the population, routine preconceptional and prenatal genetic consultations, public education on genetic issues, and public debate on related ethical issues. The Journal of Community Genetics has a multidisciplinary scope. It covers medical genetics, epidemiology, genetics in primary care, public health aspects of genetics, and ethical, legal, social and economic issues. Its intention is to serve as a forum for community genetics worldwide, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. The journal features original research papers, reviews, short communications, program reports, news, and correspondence. Program reports describe illustrative projects in the field of community genetics, e.g., design and progress of an educational program or the protocol and achievement of a gene bank. Case reports describing individual patients are not accepted.

Molecular Cytogenetics

BioMed Central•ISSN: 1755-8166•England
1.4
Clarivate IF

Molecular Cytogenetics encompasses all aspects of chromosome biology and the application of molecular cytogenetic techniques in all areas of biology and medicine, including structural and functional organization of the chromosome and nucleus, genome variation, expression and evolution, chromosome abnormalities and genomic variations in medical genetics and tumor genetics. Molecular Cytogenetics primarily defines a large set of the techniques that operate either with the entire genome or with specific targeted DNA sequences. Topical areas include, but are not limited to: -Structural and functional organization of chromosome and nucleus- Genome variation, expression and evolution- Animal and plant molecular cytogenetics and genomics- Chromosome abnormalities and genomic variations in clinical genetics- Applications in preimplantation, pre- and post-natal diagnosis- Applications in the central nervous system, cancer and haematology research- Previously unreported applications of molecular cytogenetic techniques- Development of new techniques or significant enhancements to established techniques. This journal is a source for numerous scientists all over the world, who wish to improve or introduce molecular cytogenetic techniques into their practice.

Circulation-Cardiovascular Genetics

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Ltd.•ISSN: 1942-3268•United States
N/A
Clarivate IF

Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine considers all types of original research articles, including studies conducted in human subjects, laboratory animals, in vitro, and in silico. Articles may include investigations of: clinical genetics as applied to the diagnosis and management of monogenic or oligogenic cardiovascular disorders; the molecular basis of complex cardiovascular disorders, including genome-wide association studies, exome and genome sequencing-based association studies, coding variant association studies, genetic linkage studies, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and metagenomics; integration of electronic health record data or patient-generated data with any of the aforementioned approaches, including phenome-wide association studies, or with environmental or lifestyle factors; pharmacogenomics; regulation of gene expression; gene therapy and therapeutic genomic editing; systems biology approaches to the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disorders; novel methods to perform any of the aforementioned studies; and novel applications of precision medicine. Above all, we seek studies with relevance to human cardiovascular biology and disease. Manuscripts are examined by the editorial staff and usually evaluated by expert reviewers assigned by the editors. Both clinical and basic articles will also be subject to statistical review, when appropriate. Provisional or final acceptance is based on originality, scientific content, and topical balance of the journal. Decisions are communicated by email, generally within six weeks. The editors will not discuss a decision about a manuscript over the phone. All rebuttals must be submitted in writing to the editorial office.
