Business Strategy and the Environment
Business Strategy and the Environment (BSE) is the leading academic journal in its field with peer-reviewed contributions of a high quality. It seeks to provide original contributions that add to the understanding of business responses to improving environmental performance. It seeks to examine links between competitive strategy and environmental management as well as providing results of research into systems and standards, corporate environmental management tools, organisations and management, particular industry sectors and responses of business to contemporary environmental issues. It examines the role of regulation and policy in the business sector and encourages cross-country analysis. Contributions are encouraged which extend the scope of activity from environmental management to sustainable development in business. The journal should be of interest to a broad interdisciplinary audience including academics, practitioners, business managers and consultants.
Carbohydrate Polymers
Carbohydrate Polymers covers the study and exploitation of polymers of monosaccharides which have current or potential application in areas such as bioenergy, bioplastics, biomaterials, nanotechnology, biorefining, drug delivery, food, chemistry, packaging , paper, pharmaceuticals, medicine, oil recovery, textiles and wood. The role of the well-characterized carbohydrate polymer must be the major proportion of the work reported, not peripheral. At least one named carbohydrate polymer must be cited and be the main focus of the title of the paper, and of the paper itself. Research must be innovative and advance scientific knowledge. Where a polysaccharide is obtained from a supplier, essential structural information which will affect its behavior in the subsequent work should be given. For example, molecular size/viscosity information, mannuronate/glucoronate ration for alginates, degree of esterification for pectin, degree of deacetylation for chitosan. Editors are unlikely to send papers for formal review with a statement such as "sodium alginate was purchased from XXX Inc." unless additional information is supplied. To be acceptable, the paper must include some characterization of the polysaccharide (if not already known) in addition to the application studied. Purity and monosaccharide composition are essential; some molecular size and linkage information is highly desirable.
Computers & Education
Computing and communication technology continue to make an ever-increasing impact on all aspects of cognition, education and training, from primary to tertiary and in the growing open and distance learning environment. The journal is an established technically-based, interdisciplinary forum for communication in the use of all forms of computing in this socially and technologically significant area of application and will continue to publish definitive contributions to serve as a reference standard against which the current state-of-the-art can be assessed.
Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
The Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering aims to provide a perspective on the broad field of chemical (and related) engineering. It addresses advances in applied chemistry and biology, with a focus on concepts, old and new materials, and/or processes. The journal draws from disciplines as diverse as biology, physics, and engineering, with development of chemical products and processes as the unifying theme.
Journal of Sport and Health Science
The Journal of Sport and Health Science (JSHS), launched in May 2012, is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the advancement of sport/exercise/health sciences. By publishing original research studies, scholarly reviews, opinion papers, and research highlights/commentaries, JSHS aims to build a communication platform for international researchers to effectively share scholarly achievements. With a distinguished editorial board, JSHS is dedicated to maintaining high academic standards, integrity, and excellence by publishing scholarly work of the highest quality in the sub-disciplines of sport/exercise/health sciences.

Published monthly from January 2010, Neuro-Oncology is the official journal of the Society for Neuro-Oncology. Also affiliated with the Japan Society for Neuro-Oncology and the European Association of Neuro-Oncology it is a truly global journal in the field. Dedicated to providing superior and rapid publication of information in all areas of neuro-oncology, the journal contains peer-reviewed articles and reviews, symposia on selected topics, published abstracts of annual meetings, and society news and announcements from around the world.
npj Computational Materials
npj Computational Materials publishes high-quality research papers that apply computational approaches for the design of new materials, and for enhancing our understanding of existing ones. New computational techniques – and the refinement of current approaches – that facilitate these aims are also welcome, as are experimental papers that complement computational findings. Representative journal scope includes: application and development of existing and emerging theoretical and simulation approaches for the study of materials in their entirety (organic and inorganic). structure and property prediction of new materials, such as by the ‘materials by design’ paradigm. significant new understanding of materials fundamentals, behavior and properties. integrative/complementary experimental works that serve to validate, support and extend computational findings. high-throughput techniques – both computational and experimental – for large data set generation, and materials data mining.
