The Scandinavian Journal of Statistics is internationally recognised as one of the leading statistical journals in the world. It was founded in 1974 by four Scandinavian statistical societies. Today more than eighty per cent of the manuscripts are submitted from outside Scandinavia. It is an international journal devoted to reporting significant and innovative original contributions to statistical methodology, both theory and applications. The journal specializes in statistical modelling showing particular appreciation of the underlying substantive research problems. The emergence of specialized methods for analysing longitudinal and spatial data is just one example of an area of important methodological development in which the Scandinavian Journal of Statistics has a particular niche.

Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference

Elsevier•ISSN: 0378-3758•Netherlands
1.1
Clarivate IF

The Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference offers itself as a multifaceted and all-inclusive bridge between classical aspects of statistics and probability, and the emerging interdisciplinary aspects that have a potential of revolutionizing the subject. While we maintain our traditional strength in statistical inference, design, classical probability, and large sample methods, we also have a far more inclusive and broadened scope to keep up with the new problems that confront us as statisticians, mathematicians, and scientists. We publish high quality articles in all branches of statistics, probability, discrete mathematics, machine learning, and bioinformatics. We also especially welcome well written and up to date review articles on fundamental themes of statistics, probability, machine learning, and general biostatistics. Thoughtful letters to the editors, interesting problems in need of a solution, and short notes carrying an element of elegance or beauty are equally welcome.

The Advances in Applied Probability has been published by the Applied Probability Trust for over four decades, and is a companion publication to the Journal of Applied Probability. It contains mathematical and scientific papers of interest to applied probabilists, with emphasis on applications in a broad spectrum of disciplines, including the biosciences, operations research, telecommunications, computer science, engineering, epidemiology, financial mathematics, the physical and social sciences, and any field where stochastic modeling is used. A submission to Applied Probability represents a submission that may, at the Editor-in-Chief’s discretion, appear in either the Journal of Applied Probability or the Advances in Applied Probability. Typically, shorter papers appear in the Journal, with longer contributions appearing in the Advances.

Esaim-Probability and Statistics

EDP Sciences•ISSN: 1292-8100 / 1262-3318•France
1
Clarivate IF

The journal publishes original research and survey papers in the area of Probability and Statistics. It covers theoretical and practical aspects, in any field of these domains. Of particular interest are methodological developments with application in other scientific areas, for example Biology and Genetics, Information Theory, Finance, Bioinformatics, Random structures and Random graphs, Econometrics, Physics. Long papers are very welcome. Indeed, we intend to develop the journal in the direction of applications and to open it to various fields where random mathematical modelling is important. In particular we will call (survey) papers in these areas, in order to make the random community aware of important problems of both theoretical and practical interest. We all know that many recent fascinating developments in Probability and Statistics are coming from "the outside" and we think that ESAIM: P&S should be a good entry point for such exchanges. Of course this does not mean that the journal will be only devoted to practical aspects.
