Inland Water Biology publishes thematic reviews and original papers devoted to flora and fauna in waterbodies, biodiversity of hydrobionts, biology, morphology, systematics, ecology, ethology, ecological physiology and biochemistry of aquatic organisms, patterns of biological cycle, structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems, anthropogenic and uncontrolled natural impacts on aquatic organisms and ecosystems, invasion of nonindigenous species into ecosystems and their ecology, methods of hydrobiological and ichthyological studies.
Journal of Shellfish Research
Original articles dealing with all aspects of shellfish research will be considered for publication. Manuscripts will be judged by the editors or other competent reviewers, or both, on the basis of originality, content, merit, clarity of presentation, and interpretations.
Latin American Journal of Aquatic Research
Latin American Journal of Aquatic Research- LAJAR is the continuation of the journal Investigaciones Marinas (1970-2007) and is published since 2008 by the Escuela de Ciencias del Mar, Facultad de Ciencias del Mar y Geografía of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. LAJAR is an “Open Access” journal that publishes in English language, original research articles, reviews and short communications on aquatic science, which contain the results of research conducted in aquaculture or in oceanic and coastal marine waters of Latin America. The following topics are considered: Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Marine Biogeochemistry, Marine Pollution and Toxicology, Marine Geology and Geophysics, Biological Oceanography, Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Vie et Milieu-Life and Environment
Vie et Milieu / Life & Environment is an international journal of general ecology publishing papers in English on marine ecology, trophic webs, ecophysiology, quantitative ecology, modelisation, evolution, phylogenetics, genetics, symbioses, environment. The journal is focused on marine sciences, but also publishes studies on lagoonal and terrestrial domains.
Crustaceana
Crustaceana is a leading journal in the world on crustacean research, including the latest papers from all branches of zoology. It provides up-to-date information on aspects such as taxonomy, zoogeography, ecology, physiology, anatomy, genetics, palaeontology, and biometry, and covers all groups of Crustacea. Boasting a large international circulation, Crustaceana provides its readers with an abstract for each article.
Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine
Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Journal accepts manuscripts for publication that are related to the areas of diving research and physiology, hyperbaric medicine and oxygen therapy, submarine medicine, naval medicine and clinical research related to the above topics. To be considered for UHM scientific papers must deal with significant and new research in an area related to biological, physical and clinical phenomena related to the above environments.
Russian Journal of Marine Biology
The Russian Journal of Marine Biology was founded in 1975 by Alexey V. Zhirmunsky, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Russian Journal of Marine Biology covers a wide range of research and some applied aspects of marine biology as a synthetic science related to various fields of study on marine biota and environment. It presents fundamental research on biological processes at molecular, cellular, organismal, and populational levels in marine organisms. Consideration is given to marine objects as models in life sciences. The journal also publishes papers dedicated to events in Russian and international marine biological science and the history of biology.
Cahiers De Biologie Marine
BM - Cahiers de Biologie Marine publishes papers on all aspects of the biology of marine organisms and of biological oceanography, in particular in the following fields: Benthic and planktonic Ecology; Ecophysiology; Population dynamics and Population genetics; Food webs; Systematics and Phylogeny. The key criteria are that the work clearly demonstrates its novelty, its importance to a particular field as well as its interest to those outside that discipline, and conclusions that are justified by the study. Reviews on current topics are welcome. Selected papers or abstracts from international symposia or workshops may also be considered. Short communications (4 printed pages) may also be published. Papers must be original and must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. They will be reviewed by at least two referees before acceptance for publication. Short note about new record could be accepted only if this one significantly increases the distribution area of the species and if the paper includes a discussion about the general distribution of the species and the significance of the observed range extension.
