The BMB Reports (BMB Rep, established in 1968) is published at the end of every month by Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Copyright is reserved by the Society. The journal publishes short articles and mini reviews. We expect that the BMB Reports will deliver the new scientific findings and knowledge to our readers in fast and timely manner.
FBL is an international peer-reviewed open access journal of biological and medical science. The Journal of Biological Chemistry welcomes high-quality science that seeks to elucidate the molecular and cellular basis of biological processes. Papers published in JBC can therefore fall under the umbrellas of not only biological chemistry, chemical biology, or biochemistry, but also allied disciplines such as biophysics, systems biology, RNA biology, immunology, microbiology, neurobiology, epigenetics, computational biology, ’omics, and many more. The outcome of our focus on papers that contribute novel and important mechanistic insights, rather than on a particular topic area, is that JBC is truly a melting pot for scientists across disciplines. BioMetals is a journal for metals researchers who practice in medicine, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, microbiology, cell biology, chemistry, and plant physiology who are based academic, industrial and government laboratories.
Current Genomics is a peer-reviewed journal that provides essential reading about the latest and most important developments in genome science and related fields of research. Systems biology, systems modeling, machine learning, network inference, bioinformatics, computational biology, epigenetics, single cell genomics, extracellular vesicles, quantitative biology, and synthetic biology for the study of evolution, development, maintenance, aging and that of human health, human diseases, clinical genomics and precision medicine are topics of particular interest. The journal covers plant genomics. The journal will not consider articles dealing with breeding and livestock.
Current Genomics publishes three types of articles including:
i) Research papers from internationally-recognized experts reporting on new and original data generated at the genome scale level. Position papers dealing with new or challenging methodological approaches, whether experimental or mathematical, are greatly welcome in this section.
ii) Authoritative and comprehensive full-length or mini reviews from widely recognized experts, covering the latest developments in genome science and related fields of research such as systems biology, statistics and machine learning, quantitative biology, and precision medicine. Proposals for mini-hot topics (2-3 review papers) and full hot topics (6-8 review papers) guest edited by internationally-recognized experts are welcome in this section. Hot topic proposals should not contain original data and they should contain articles originating from at least 2 different countries.
iii) Opinion papers from internationally recognized experts addressing contemporary questions and issues in the field of genome science and systems biology and basic and clinical research practices.
The Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B: Biology provides a forum for the publication of papers relating to the various aspects of photobiology, as well as a means for communication in this multidisciplinary field.

Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions® (MPMI) publishes fundamental and advanced applied research on the genetics, genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics of pathological, symbiotic, and associative interactions of microbes, insects, nematodes, or parasitic plants with plants.
BBA Molecular and Cell Biology of Lipids publishes papers on original research dealing with novel aspects of molecular genetics related to the lipidome, the biosynthesis of lipids, the role of lipids in cells and whole organisms, the regulation of lipid metabolism and function, and lipidomics in all organisms. Manuscripts should significantly advance the understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying biological processes in which lipids are involved. Papers detailing novel methodology must report significant biochemical, molecular, or functional insight in the area of lipids.

Because space in the journal is limited, however, preference is given to publication of results that provide significant new insights into biological problems and that advance the understanding of structure, function, mechanisms, or regulation. ACS Chemical Biology provides an international forum for the rapid communication of research that broadly embraces the interface between chemistry and biology.
The journal also serves as a forum to facilitate the communication between biologists and chemists that will translate into new research opportunities and discoveries. Results will be published in which molecular reasoning has been used to probe questions through in vitro investigations, cell biological methods, or organismic studies.
We welcome mechanistic studies on proteins, nucleic acids, sugars, lipids, and nonbiological polymers. The journal serves a large scientific community, exploring cellular function from both chemical and biological perspectives. It is understood that submitted work is based upon original results and has not been published previously.
BBA Gene Regulatory Mechanisms includes reports that describe novel insights into mechanisms of transcriptional, post-transcriptional and translational gene regulation. Special emphasis is placed on papers that identify epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation, including chromatin, modification, and remodeling. This section also encompasses mechanistic studies of regulatory proteins and protein complexes; regulatory or mechanistic aspects of RNA processing; regulation of expression by small RNAs; genomic analysis of gene expression patterns; and modeling of gene regulatory pathways. Papers describing gene promoters, enhancers, silencers or other regulatory DNA regions must incorporate significant functions studies.
