Education 3-13

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 0300-4279 / 1475-7575•United States
1.2
Clarivate IF

Education 3-13 - International Journal of Primary, Elementary and Early Years Education is the major international publication of the Association for the Study of Primary Education (ASPE). The defining feature of the journal is that it aims to publish refereed articles representing the highest quality research and analysing practice relating to children between the ages of 3-13, both in the UK and internationally. It should be noted, however, that whilst the submission of items relating to pre-school and the transfer to secondary education are encouraged, the central focus of the journal is on primary education and articles addressing that phase are especially welcomed. Education 3-13 will be of interest to academics, students, teachers and advisers who seek perspectives on early years, primary and middle schooling. The Journal seeks to provide an avenue for the publication of research that will help to develop policy and practice in primary education and will also assist practitioners by providing helpful and stimulating ways of viewing what they do, or might do. The Journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of primary education in the form of articles that report original research, analyse practice, discuss local and national policy and initiatives, offer a comparative perspective on research and policy and report on major research projects. Illustrations, tables, figures, photos and examples of children's work are welcomed.

Educational Action Research

Taylor & Francis•ISSN: 0965-0792 / 1747-5074•United Kingdom
1.2
Clarivate IF

Educational Action Research is concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. The considerable increase in interest in action research in recent years has been accompanied by the development of a number of different approaches: for example, to promote reflective practice; professional development; empowerment; understanding of tacit professional knowledge; curriculum development; individual, institutional and community change; and development of democratic management and administration. Proponents of all these share the common aim of ending the dislocation of research from practice, an aim which links them with those involved in participatory research and action inquiry. This journal publishes accounts of a range of action research and related studies, in education and across the professions, with the aim of making their outcomes widely available and exemplifying the variety of possible styles of reporting. It aims to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research. It also provides a forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues, enabling different approaches to be subjected to critical reflection and analysis. The impetus for Educational Action Research came from CARN, the Collaborative Action Research Network, and since its foundation in 1992, EAR has been important in extending and strengthening this international network.

Educational Research for Policy and Practice

Springer Nature•ISSN: 1570-2081 / 1573-1723•Netherlands
1.2
Clarivate IF

Educational Research for Policy and Practice, the official journal of the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association, aims to improve education and educational research in Asia and the Pacific by promoting the dissemination of high quality research which addresses key issues in educational policy and practice. Therefore, priority will be given to research which has generated a substantive result of importance for educational policy and practice; to analyses of global forces, regional trends and national educational reforms; and to studies of key issues in teaching, learning and development - such as the challenges to be faced in learning to live together in what is the largest and most diverse region of the world. With a broad coverage of education in all sectors and levels of education, the Journal seeks to promote the contribution of educational research, both quantitative and qualitative, to system-wide reforms and policy making on the one hand, and to resolving specific problems facing teachers and learners at a particular level of education in the Asia-Pacific region on the other. Education systems worldwide face many common problems as global forces reshape our institutions and lives, while at the same time, the research and problems facing education in Asia and the Pacific reflect its rich cultural and scholarly traditions as well as specific economic and social realities. Educators and researchers can learn from significant investigations, reform programmes, evaluations and case studies of innovations in countries and cultures other than their own. One purpose of this Journal is to make such investigations within the Asian-Pacific region more widely known.
